It might be true about Hitler saying that, but most likely not true; it's considered lore instead of a quote.
He was complementing the Egyptian weightlifter who won the gold in the 1936 olympics. He was saying he wished he was German instead of Egyptian.

Not Because i'm an Egyption , but Coming From Two Of The Most Great Leaders Of War ,i would say it's true ,BTW There are also Great People Who Share the same Saying

There were no Egyptian soldiers around when either of them allegedly made the comments.
In pre W.W.2 Egypt, and post W.W.2 Egypt it was under British Rule.
At the time of Napoleon the was no Egyptian Army as such the country was ruled by various tribes.
Hitlers comments about Jesse Owen the U.S. colored sprinter, are well documented, and not very flattering to "non-ayrian" races.
