I have been sworn in to the US Navy as a corpsman in the reserves. But now Im considering go full-time active status. I have spoken to my chief at my recruiting station and hadv avised me that I plan to change right now before I leave for bootcamp, my leave date may change after I go through MEPS again. And then He also said that I could wait to I come from A-school and apply then but I would have to go back to Chicago for another week. Is it possible?

If you want to go active do it NOW!!! The navy is trying to boost there reserves number they will deny your chit at A school. if you really want to go active it will be worth the wait for you to change your date or change your rate. there are many good jobs in the navy. I have first hand knowledge of a group of boots that tried to drop a chit to go active while at A school they all were denied. If you want know anything else hit me up.

I would spiff change before you ship. After the reserves start paying to train you, it'll be a whole lot more difficult.

No. you could annoy the heck out of your recruiter. yet you're able to do it earlier you swear in. in case you qualify. maximum facilities are thinning out and you won't have the means except you're taking a job this is open no rely what it is. basically a thought. good success.
