If the population rates stay the pace they are going the Catholic Population could soon pass the Protestant Population. If this were to occur and the Catholic population was much greater then the Protestant Population would Ireland Unite?

I would hope so. Korea, Vietnam, and Yugoslavia have demonstrated the problems of partitioned nations.
The World could use a little more peaceful unification and less gerrymandering by religious or ethnic differences.
If the Republic of Ireland continues to give opportunities to minorities, Protestants and Catholics should be able to live together.
This may not make the U.K. happy but it might be good for the European Union.
I have heard making Ireland a 51st state discussed. The idea has interesting pros and cons.
