Okay so I'm an intern for a company that manufactures chemicals for semiconductors. I graduate in May and have been offered a position for a company that manufactures chemicals for consumer products. I'm not sure if I signed a non-compete agreement. I will ask on Monday but if I did is there anyway to get out of it or would it count. I'm not sure if they are the same industry or not. I'm really confused about the whole thing and would like some answers. I really appreciate it.

the story -
4-year-old suspended after hugging teacher's aide
By Associated Press

WACO, Texas -- School administrators gave a 4-year-old student an in-school suspension for inappropriately touching a teacher's aide after the pre-kindergartner hugged the woman.

A letter from La Vega school district administrators to the student's parents said that the boy was involved in "inappropriate physical behavior interpreted as sexual contact and/or sexual harassment" after he hugged the woman and he "rubbed his face in the chest of (the) female employee" on Nov. 10.

DaMarcus Blackwell, the father of the boy who attends La Vega Primary School, said he filed a complaint with the district. He said that his son doesn't understand why he was punished

My dad is employed at a celebrities ranch and hasn't been paid his wages in over four months with no excuse except that "payroll is on its way". Can he claim penalties for the delay. I can't find anything on the internet except penalties for delayed wages when an employee quits. That's not the case since my dad continues to work out of loyalty.

the lady ahead of me looks left and turns right, I turn my head quickly left to see that I was still clear, see there are no cars and I start heading out as well, when BAM!.I guess she decided not to pull out after all .I rear ended her at less than 5mph. No damage to her car,a little paint on mine and a damaged headlight cover. (my right front hit her left back, she was a bit out of the lane when she was pulling out)
She gets out and calls the police &raves about how lucky I am, this being my first accident that it was so trivial and no one was hurt at all-tells me all about how used to accidents she is since she's had so many. Police come to file the report and give me my ticket (FIRST ONE EVER) and this ladies mother comes to get her kid to take him to his party he was missing.lady tells the officer "I want you to look at my son so you can see he is OK, because I want him to go ahead and leave".She calls her hubby to tell him she is fine & how minor it was

The answer is very obvious (or at least to me it is), but I want everyone else to think about it. The U.S. is, and has been for many years, a threat to the rest of the world, usingexploitation and terrorism (if u don't believe me, look up latin america's tumultuous political history.) I am not cold-blooded or crazy, and I feel very sorry for those who died in 9-11, but as a country, we deserved it. The U.S. has a tendancy to exploit countries and their murderous leaders, use them for as long as possible then denounce them. As a country, the people of the U.S. must strive to educate themselves, and not simply believe the biases and lies of political leaders. I hate suppressive religios leaders who use religion as an excuse for their crimes, but I also hate this country's twisted foreign policy. The government also used the evnts of 9-11 to initiate an unjust war. (I hate saddam, but the war was not necessary.) almost 3,000 ppl died, and now the death toll is much higher.

I e-mailed a leasing/management Co.about the harrasment that the tenants are getting from there on site manager. My moher lives in these apts. and has for5-6yrs. Since this new manager came to the apts., my mother has been harrassed and just recieved a 90 day notice to move. I feel that my mother has been discriminated, because she has H.U.D/section 8 Asst. never had a problem before, not until recently. She is the only Hispanic elderly lady who recieved a notice to vacate. There are a few tenants there who happen to be caucasion/white with H.U.D asst. that did not recieve notices like my mother. When confronted the manager she replied that the company was longer going to accept section 8. However my mother was the only one to recieve a evection notice and No body else. I strongly feel she has been harrassed and discriminated by this manager

I'm not talking about one horror story of one person in a story you read one nation or some story your friend told you...

I'm talking about using stats from many nations with socialized healthcare and comparing them to the U.S. stats... basically proving your statements with cited fact and equal comparison...

I don't think I've ever seen a conservative do this... yet they constantly talk about how horrible it is...

I would especially like to see comparisons between our system and the top socialized healthcare systems, like those in France and Scandinavia...

Associated Press
Three days after his tough talk in a telephone conversation with Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf, President George Bush cited "positive steps" by the Pakistani head.

Standing beside visiting Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel at his Texas ranch, Bush said there was no need for him to speak to Musharraf again. "He knows my position," Bush said.

---
humm
so. is there really "no need" or is it that Musharraf doesn't really care what Bush thinks anymore.

My first job I was at for over a year and a half but was fired. My next several jobs were through a temp agency and never took them seriously so I had about 5 jobs there. Then I went to school for a year but moved to Portland because where I lived before had no good job. I got a job the day I moved here and have been there for about 6 months. I want to make more money and have always wanted to be a police officer. How can I bypass my inconsistent work history in the application process? I am a good person, not lazy, I was just young and wanted a good job. I like my job now it just does not pay.

Thanks for the help!

It would be nice to have, but its just not a financial reality. take a look:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_federal_budget,_2007

Medicare and Medicaid total almost 700 BILLION dollars worth of the federal budget. And that's just the federal budget, states pay for a large portion of medicaid so i bet its pushing $1 trillion dollars in goverment healthcare spending currently. And the programs only insure about 20% of our population. So we take 1 trillion X 4 to get the other 4/5ths of our population covered so youre looking at an increase of 3.5-4 trillion dollars (granted medicare is old and disabled people who use more healthcare, so its probably more like a 2-3 trillion increase) Anyway, were running a deficit right now of 500 billion per year. Where is the money going to come from to finance this?
