Unfortunately, WWIII will be global suicide, therefore in answer to your question, as long as there's rational superpowers who believe in MAD, there will be no WW3. By definition, the next world war wil be nuclear, how could it not. In a nuclear war there will be no winner. In a nuclear world, the only true enemy is war itself.
The next World War will involve a nuclear exchange, how could it not if both sides believe no price for victory will be too high. In the first 30 minutes, nearly a billion people will have been vaporised, mostly in the US, Russia, Europe, China and Japan. Another 1.5 billion will die shortly thereafter from radiation poisoning. The northern hemisphere will be plunged into prolonged agony and barbarity.
Eventually the nuclear winter will spread to the southern hemisphere and all plant life will die. You ask if we're are going to be overrun, you are asking when will we commit global suicide. My answer is it won't happen soon because the larger superpowers are more rational than the rump states in the middle east.
While we hear talk of a nuclear-Iran or a confrontation with NorKor, little is said about the 2 bulls in the glass shop. The arsenals of Russia and the US are enough to destroy a million Hiroshimas. But there are fewer than 3000 cities on the Earth with populations of 100,000 or more. You cannot find anything like a million Hiroshimas to obliterate. Prime military and industrial targets that are far from cities are comparatively rare. Our biggest threat is from an accidental launch by the Russians.
At the point of global suicide, it doesn't matter who is on what side.... In a nuclear age like i said before, the only true enemy is war itself.

The simple fact is yes, someday there will be a "WW3". Today, probably not. Tommorow also seems doubtful, but some time in the future, maybe in a year, maybe in 100 years, there will be another global conflict. Although some would say they current war on terror is, in fact, a "WW3". It involves many nations and a common enemy, Islamic Terrorists. There are really very few countries that have not been affected by this new type of war and unfortunately, the risk is not going away. Unfortunately we have certain members of out government and a certain group in our population that thinks the war on terror is phoney and we should do nothing except run away. Running away will only bring what you fear, WW3, that much quicker.

I think i understand now, why your parents choose to change the channel. They did it for your own good! Unfortunately there is nothing we can do to prevent this War from happening. If it does happen, just make sure you are prepared with food water blankets etc. You need it for all emergencies, cause you never know 1 day when there is no electricity, no running water and everything is dark. Thats when you know you have all the essentials ready when you need it. Also don't worry about war to much, we have plenty of allies to back us up. Just make sure you live and love your life with the very important people around you =)

Well the future is not a certain thing so we can’t say yes or no. We can only imagine that what the future holds, but we don’t know for certain. You’re too young to be scared dude, right know live your life and have fun. Hopefully the world remembers the horror and the carnage of WW1 and WW2 and such a disaster won’t happen again.

Big question. The answer is we all hope there is never a WW3, but peace takes a lot of work. There are bad people in the world today just as there was during WWI & WWII. It is the job of our elected officials to ensure that these bad people can not harm us or gain enough power to start a world war. Our job is to ensure that we elect the right people to ensure that bad people will be kept in their place while not being a focal point of hate in the world. Maybe one day you will be able to assume those duties. Pay attention in school and maybe one day we will be voting for you!

No need to worry. A lot of people will say that WW3 is coming around the corner, but it is takes a lot more than what we are going through to start a world war. What news channel is talking about WW3? None that I have seen.

WW3 is happening now. Islamofascists have declared war on the civilized world but the civilized world has yet to wake up to this evil threat. Read the koran and you will see that it teaches terrorism (8:12) and even tells muslims to beat their wives (4:34). Wake up and smell the jihad !

Starting a world war is easy, it's getting the idiot like george to back down the impossible part! Just imagine the entire world soaked with flammable fuel and he has box of matches which he's lighting and throwing away at random! That's what we're facing at this moment in time!

I think of WW III as an all-out nuclear exchange. There will be minor skirmishes around thw world. But these will be localized. They might involve many nations, but they will not be fought around the world.
Young lady, I hope for your sake the specter of WW III looms on the horizon as a terrible threat for ever. When people forget the threat or how terrible it is, or when they don't care, there is a greater chance somebody will do something very stupid.
I do not want to frighten you further, but if there is the WW III I envision, nobody will win. Everybody will lose.
Of course it would be better if there were no threat. But we live in a strange world. There are little people and little countries who think powerful weapons make them important. There are people who think that if they threaten you... or even kill you, that you will believe the way they want.
As long as there intelligent people, such as yourself, that fear the consequences of such stupidity, I think the world is in good hands. I think the world is pretty safe.
A word of advice from an old man. Don't let the fear get to you. Don't let it consume you. Don't let it keep you from having a good and full life and enjoying it. It's kind of like playing with fire. You know fire is dangerous. But you might sit in front of the fireplace on a cold evening. You might roast marshmallows in front of a camp fire. But you know the danger of fire... you might fear the consequences of burning your house down, or maybe starting a forest fire. But you don't let it destroy your life.

I think World War 3 may be happening right now. We have several nations troops in several countries, terrorist armies building across the globe, and more nations building nuclear weapons or processing nuclear material. You may be watching Armagedon unfolding on CNN and You Tube right now.
The good news is, you have some good people out there trying to keep it from destroying the world, and that is why we have Veterans Day, to thank the people that pick up a rifle and stand a watch.
