and we love pauline because she is ummm.. errrrrrrr DUMB.. and easily influenced and doesn't know the meaning of the word Xenophobia..

HOW can people throw their support behind such a narrow-minded and short sighted group of people with polical aspirations that will throw us back to the days of the White Australian Policies and women tied to the kitchen sink ( bare-foot and pregnant) ... while the environment enters MELTDOWN situation ?????

Please Explain ???

Can you imagine the massive backward step that this would be IF Family First gains ANY POSITION OF POWER?? ....

don't get me wrong ... I am not a radical Feminazi .. I don't want women to have more than men ... BUT nor do I want them to have less...

I also DON'T want to go back to the days of the White Australian Policies ..

I want people to have the freedom to practise the religion ( or not ) of their choice ... I don't want CERTAIN Christian extremists forcing other faiths underground .. as Christians themselves were once persecuted.

The explanation is pretty simple. Bunch of right wing loons backing each other up. Anyone who thinks differently has just been sucked in.

I've thought about this before. I find it horrible, because Green Day was heavily influenced by The Sex Pistols. How would you feel if your idol told you that you were a piece of **** at what you do? And the irony deepens, as Lady Gaga is not only friends with Green Day, but she was very influenced by them, and she was beyond obsessive about them when she was a teenager. I don't think that this guy should be so harsh on Green Day. You can say that you don't like their music, but he shouldn't assume things about them that aren't true, and he should respect that that's what he influenced, whether he likes it or not. Obviously I can't say it's bollocks, cause it's Lydon's own opinion, but I definitely think he should check he research, because Green Day fought for every footstep, just like almost every other band in the music business. When people work as hard as they do, it's downright disrespectful and, in my opinion, despicable to put them down like that.

Well that is the question of this decade... how can ppl throw their support behind a group, or a president, with such narrow-minded views and beliefs...

I can't answer this exactly because I am the opposite. I believe in live and let live and freedom to be who you are without judgment.

In an attempt to answer the question, I think these ppl get caught up in what I refer to as 'cult beliefs'.

People are very quick to accept easy answers. It is much easier to do and more comfortable. What I have realised is these "christian" groups need to look at themselves more closely. They need to preach to themselves for they are just as sinful as everyone else capable of great wickedness. Unfortunately christians can give Jesus a bad name and lose track of what is really important.

Family First are a bunch of nutcases, they seriously have lost all of their credible political reputation by rejecting the policy preference that the greens have in favour of a redneck! I cant say anything constructive towards a pro liberal, anti family policy, anti multicultural family, anti human rights, anti environmental bunch of nutters. They are a real confused extremist religious faction, thats all.
forgive those who voted for johnny, who now realise their mistake.

And what a Fun Family they are. They are just another loony fringe that supports Howard. It's a wonder they haven't asked Hanson to be their Leader.

This is why it is ESSENTIAL to prevent "Family Last" from winning the balance of power in the Senate. They will join with the Coalition to block progressive legislation.

They do not represent the broad range of different types of "families" in Australia, only narrowly-defined, married, heterosexual Christian families, and they seek to squeeze the rest of us into their narrow mould.

That doesn't surprise me they both have the same narrow minded view of minority groups and that is why a vote for them is vote for John Howard.

Family First are loony.
One of their candidates posted naked photos of himself on the net (and sent some to people who were pretending to be teenage girls) and admitted to visiting gay porn sites (not that there's anything wrong with that.... unless you preach against it).

A whole bunch of crazy.
