I'm not talking about one horror story of one person in a story you read one nation or some story your friend told you...

I'm talking about using stats from many nations with socialized healthcare and comparing them to the U.S. stats... basically proving your statements with cited fact and equal comparison...

I don't think I've ever seen a conservative do this... yet they constantly talk about how horrible it is...

I would especially like to see comparisons between our system and the top socialized healthcare systems, like those in France and Scandinavia...

I'm asking them to prove the many assertions that they have... that's all...

they are the ones making the comments...

proving socialized healthcare is better is another question... but I think I could make an argument for it... if someone was wondering...

many in the U.S. system have horrible stories about loved ones dying too due to horrible situations... that doesn't really prove anything...

and I'm looking for CITES to studies and recognized research groups... no offense to anyone, but I just don't take people's words on things with no proof...

Here is a link to an interesting story about OUR (USA) health care system.

"US among worst in world for infant death"

Don't think I would go to the wall trying to defend our system.

They only thing they can prove is that health care will no longer be instant for everyone who can pay when going to that type of system. Middle class may have to wait reasonably longer times to get some types of health care treatments that are in higher demand than doctors can currently supply.

That is the problem with systems that don't adjust prices to slow demand.

As a Canadian on these boards I am surprised at all the horror stories I hear from our system which are not true, seems like scare tactics...

There are long wait lines for certain procedures and some do go south for specific procedures but we would never want to change our system.

They just did a deal on Great Britan and them coming here. I never heard real bad stuf about Canada and didn;t know about long lines. Guess I should reseach it, but since I don't have health care it would probably depress me.

Why does it matter to you if one is conservative or liberal? All it takes is anecdoctal evidence of loved ones who have died because they could not receive an organ transplant or other expensive life saving treatment/procedure. If you don't know any of those who died due to the above, consider yourself blessed.

Well, it seems that here in this "question" you are saying it is good, so it would really be on you to provide evidence of THAT.
