My husband is a disabled vet. He was determined 100% disabled by the military, and he gets veterans pay. He was told to go apply for SSD, but they turned him down. So we got a lawyer. It has been two years now and we still haven't heard anything. Does anyone know how long we have to wait?

Between 0% and 100% what is your guess?
Sure most are peaceful but opinion polls and street surveys are not likely to give a realistic picture.

I know that Bush's 'war on terrorism' is just a facade for covering up his real intentions. All this time I thought maybe his real motivation for invading and occupying Iraq was all about oil. But I'm beginning to think there's more to it than that. I'm thinking it's still about oil, but on a much larger scale. I think Iraq was just a stepping stone, strategic placement of US armed forces. Suddenly the focus has changed, and all eyes are on Iran and their "Nuclear intentions". As if there isn't enough crap to deal with over there already! Now we have to worry about a major confrontation with Iran too? If I could ask the government just one question, and they HAD to be totally honest in their answer, I'd say, "Allright Bush- No more B.S. What are we REALLY doing over there???" I wonder what he'd say...

An increasingly confrontational President Bush on Friday vetoed a bill authorizing hundreds of popular water projects even though lawmakers can count enough votes to override him.

President Bush leaves the White House Friday on his way to an event in South Carolina.

Bush brushed aside significant objections from Capitol Hill, even from Republicans, in thwarting legislation that provides money for projects like repairing hurricane damage, restoring wetlands and preventing flooding in communities across the nation.
This level of opposition virtually assured that Bush would have a veto overridden for the first time in his presidency. He has used the veto very sparingly for most of the time he has been in office, but has made more use of it recently.
"When we override this irresponsible veto, perhaps the president will finally recognize that Congress is an equal branch of government and reconsider his many other reckless veto threats," said Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nevada.
"More than two years after failing to respond to the devastation and destruction of Hurricane Katrina, he is refusing to fund important projects guided by the Army Corps of Engineers that are essential to protecting the people of the Gulf Coast region," Reid added.

I ask because people who run from the law put people in danger . These high speed chases are dangerous ! So do you think there should be a shoot to kill policy on people who run from the law ?

Obviously it would need some guidelines like - 3 warnings and can only shoot after the man passes 20 blocks - something like that can work . Think of how many lives it would save .

You be the judge.

"People living a hundred years from now will be puzzled by today’s America. The signs of impending destructive war are everywhere. We do not see the signs because we do not want to see them. This is true in the White House, at the CIA, in the major newspapers and within major corporations. Russia and China are maneuvering against the United States on all fronts. Russia and China are supporting Cuba, Venezuela, Iran, North Korea, Syria, etc. All the worst regimes, led by criminals and butchers, are supported by Moscow and Beijing. The objective is to arm as many rogue states as possible. And the reason for doing so is transparent.
A researcher and former news editor wrote the following note to me last week: “Russia has been conducting war in Chechnya for years, slaughtering, raping, imprisoning and displacing Muslims. Russia slaughtered Muslims for ten years in Afghanistan. Russia is ‘right next door’ [to the terrorists]..."

Not because an independent can win, of course, but to make a statement to the Republican party. Otherwise this may not be the last time that neither candidate represents us nearly at all.

09/16/07 - As many already know, the data supplied by the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) does not support the government story of American Airlines Flight 77 impact with the Pentagon on September 11, 2001 (see Pandora's Black Box - Chapter Two - Flight Of American 77 for detailed analysis). Some have argued how could the data not support an impact when the FDR was found inside the Pentagon? We feel that is a great question and one we have been trying to get Government agencies to explain.
