All military units have their own postal address which you can use to send electronic mail, post and parcels to individuals. You can get the addresses, on the British Forces Post Office (BFPO) website www.bfpo.org.uk.
Contact by Post : Letters and parcels can be delivered to servicemen and women by Royal Mail. British Forces aerogrammes (Blueys) can also be sent free of charge.
Contact by Electronic Blueys (E-Blueys) : E-Blueys, unlike email, are letters that are sent over the internet and printed out on a special machine that prints and seals them in a one piece envelope. This is then delivered to the individual through the normal military mail system. The recipient does not require access to the internet. To register or for further information about E-Bluey, visit the web site mentioned above or the British Forces Post Office (BFPO) E-Bluey website www.superletter.com/bfpo/bfpo.cfm.
Although email may be used, access to the internet is not widely available to reservists.
