What % of the UK's two million Muslims support political violence?

Between 0% and 100% what is your guess?
Sure most are peaceful but opinion polls and street surveys are not likely to give a realistic picture.

If you cheered on 9/11 and 7/7 you are a supporter of violence against the UK and USA.I regret those who give vitriolic and abusive replies to this reasonable question.
7/7 showed a % of UK Muslims must support violence and it is self deceptive or dishonest to pretend otherwise.

around 35% is the figure quoted in most polls, and that is a lot of angry people by any stretch of the imagination.

First of all, Eleanor Roosevelt (above) is living in dream land, i'm guessing she's a Muslim and is simply sticking her head in the sand.

Considering recent terrorist attacks here in the UK and arround the world have had a Muslim involvement how can it possibly be 'absolutely 100% no violence'?!!!
A|re you incapable of counting past zero or are you simply not willing to admit to actual facts where Muslims have done this?

I have friends who are Muslims but i'm also an athiest so i think i can give a fairly unbiased opinion compared to many on here.
Of course this is an almost impossible question to answer with any sort of accuracy and there is a massive grey area of where some support violence actively and others who feel they have to because of the religious pressure, etc.

I would guess the percentage is very small, less than 1% actively support it and view a terrorst attack as a move forward for the religion.
The problem lies with the many who range from this to the others who feel indiferent or knew about what was happening but kept quiet through fear of persecution.

There IS a group of muslims hell bent of killing in the name of Islam, and as long as we repeated have terrorist acts where the word 'muslim' keeps coming up they will always be seen as violent by the masses.

The biggest single problem for the Muslim religion is that many of them are aware of people with strong political views to the point they may commit violence but they say nothing.
There are many Mosques throughout the world and here in the Uk where some are preaching this hatred and yet, how many who heard this went straight to the Police to tell them?

How many Muslims have stood up in the Mosque to condemn openly and out loud in frount of everyone every terrorist act that happens?

When many of there terrorists have been to 'training camps', how many Muslims know who these people are and yet, have they been to the authorities to tell them?

I know some Muslim people, and know for a FACT they have seen these people, they know some who have been training in Pakistan, etc and yet they DON'T speak out and or actually do anything.
This is fact, these are people who i know very well and they have told me, so now Eleanor Roosevelt, what were you just saying?

Did you see the Labour Party's campaign for the last election in Brick Lane? Several, perhaps 10 or so Muslims threatened violence. Some even threatened violence against people for voting.

It must be 5% or 10% or so. If so there may be 50,000 violence supporting Muslims in the UK. I am beginning to think it was wrong to allow such a big Muslim community to grow in the UK

Muslims openly declare that they need to follow their Koranic Doctrines . I hear repeatedly that Non -Muslims are Infidels in their eyes and that struggling i eliminate them by any means open to them is a Calling . Is that not a Violent threat?
Suicide Bombers active in New-York, London.Spain , France, India, Indonesia, Bali,E/ Timour . Afghanistan. Islamabad . Why don't we hear the ( Majority- Peaceful ,Wonderful , harmless Muslims raise their voices in protest? yet no sooner they heard about the Newspaper cartoons ref Mohamed -- The Whole Muslim crowds suddenly find their Voices . Kill some Nuns-burn some churches - attack the Vatican . The percentage of Muslims who sponsor violence is very very large any part of the world .
They sponsor it in a number of ways ,but sponsor it they do.I wish they were like the Muslims they say they are . They are Not. You constantly hear about them Threatening,provoking,or participating in murdering the innocent to get their way.It is true that the percentage of people actually taking part in violence is small,but it is equally true that the vast majority SUPPORT Violence.

I should think quite a high percentage of British Muslims support political violence and al Qaida as well. I'd put it as high as 75% in some areas. Mi5 is saying there are probably as many as 2,000 potential bombers in UK. Well, this is a step down from their estimate of 10,000 potential suicide bombers a year ago.

We're now being told that boys in the 12-15 years age group are being 'groomed' as future suicide bombers.

Most people, myself included, do not trust the Muslims here in UK and would rather see them change their attitude. In particular the large number of Muslim young men going out binge drinking. This is a very poor example and it's high time someone in the Mosques did something to stop it. But they will not, because these same youths are probably al Qaida supporters and themselves potential bombers.

One thing which does puzzle me about Muslim young men is their muscle flexing attitude here in UK. I just do not think they have any real understanding of we the native British.

It seems to me that in their culture to flex the muscles and go about bragging is the same as being a good citizen and defender of Islam.

Let's be blunt about this. Here in UK some 85% of the populatiojn is Anglo-Saxon. Add to this the very large popultation of British Celts and quickly any Muslim will see just how out-numbered he/she is.

Take my advice, if you are a Muslim, obey God, defend his holy word but do not on any account think you can just take over here in UK. You just have no idea how extremly violent the British native people can be.

Look at it like this. The native white British population is made up almost entirely of Germanic tribes. The most dangrous group for you are the Celts. I am a Brythonic Celt by race [Welsh] and I do not need an invitation to war.

well i know 200 Muslims and none support any political violence not to mention support any kind of violence so have to say zero percent in my survey. anyone who knows statistics it depends on who you ask and my group is wide not just small they cover different races some are European some are Asian some are African. so i think my statistics can stand up there with any newspapers one. who ask a thousand people and judge on that how many are supporters of something.

According to the news yesterday radical Asian Muslims are even training children in Britain to be terrorists. An asian lawyer was heard to say that the only people who can stop terrorist practices like this by activists in the uk are actually Muslims. In answer to your question and I'm not a Muslim. A very very low percentage of TRUE Muslims would condone any violence to their fellow man just like all other TRUE religions, but there is always EXTREMISM in every religion !
