If you think Congress should hault working on bills that the President threatens to veto, do you think that eliminates our system of balance?

If you think Congress should continue to present bills to the President that he threatens to veto, what purpose would it serve?

Also, should the President compromise with Congress, or Congress compromise with the President?

This is not in reference to any particular subject, but just a general question. Please answer according to the question. Thank you!

My ex signed over his parental rights when my daughter was 2 and my husband adopted her. He has another daughter with a different woman (He and I were living together- he cheated on me- got this other girl pregnant which caused the breakup. The two daughters are only a few months apart). Even though he and I were no longer together and the other mother was not with him, she and I have done our best to form a friendship and remain in each others lives so our daughters could know each other. We don't discuss him in front of the kids or anything. We just get them together sometimes to play.
The adoption papers from when he signed over his rights to my daughter state no direct or indirect contact until she is 18 years of age- that goes for both sides.
He wanted to sign rights to his other daughter over as well, but the mother needs his child support to get by so it didn't happen.

Who actually has the nerve to protest @ a funeral? Who does that? Was that something Jesus inspired them to do?

And the crazy thing is - the minister @ the church is saying, he has no plans on stopping. I feel that is one of the most disrespectful and distatseful things a person can do.

I don't agree w/ the war - but I still support the troops. Which party is taking responsibility for these wacko's?

(& yes I said wacko's - although I generally try to refrain from name calling. Because I think the constitution covers a persons right to be STUPID & OUTRAGEOUS. But I hope you can forgive me - considering these extreme circumstances..)

I'm reading that a U.N. (an acronym that means UnNecesary as far as I'm concerned) "expert is saying that using food crops for fuel is a crime. Why don't these UNexperts mmake up their UNminds. Which is worse, Golbal Worming or using plants that absorb CO2 for fuel ? I thought that biofuels co2 output was offset by the CO2 the plants absorb while growing.
So I see no problem with using crops for this. I'd rather have a farmer sell soybeans, peanuts or corn for biofuel, than have hte government pay them not to grow crops or pay them for crops sent to other countries.

Thought Police: How Brain Scans Could Invade Your Private Life

http://www.popularmechanics.com/science/research/4226614.html

I have to wonder, what if you thought of doing something and they arrested you on that thought not knowing that 5 mintues later the thought would have been changed by another event in your life. The crime may never have been committed even though you thought of it for a instance, a few minutes or even a few weeks. Should you be arrested for thinking something bad alone???

The reasons for the invasion appear to have been spurious, the government should rely on independent assessment, the elected members cannot just decide to invade countries in violation of international law.

Two conservative bloggers have finally filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission, challenging that Hillary Clinton accepted illegal contributions to her presidential campaign.

Hold on! Hillary doing something illegal? Why that's nothing but right wing HATE speech! Everybody knows that Hillary would never do anything illegal! Right?

There was a plan at the University of Wisconsin LaCrosse that would have taxed currently enrolled white students $1300 each to then redistribute it to minorities students to get more minorities at that school.

It did not pass - for now. What do you think of that?

What if the white students were poor you ask - it didn't matter. ALL currently enrolled white students, it was assumed, could afford to be there...so they were taxed!

Gov. Doyle (D - WI) is in the process of SNEAKING that through now by calling it a tuition hike. We'll CALL it something different now...
