Oh yes and put the scoring on a curve while they are aat it and maybe thrown in a car. When I went i had to get loans and work and my African American friend got everything paid plus enough to party on get an apartment and buy a new monte carlo. Thing was I came from a one parent home that worked two jobs. I thought it was crazy, but glad he got to go.
There should be something to help everyone go, why should you have to work one or two jobs while going to school and also get a student loan, it's nuts, besides today they have to teach most students to read and write and they charge way too much for nothng.
They should help the minorities and the majorities, not all "majorities are the rich white men". Everyone should be able to go, not based on status, but financial status. Is that governor a democrat? Take care.

To some extent, all colleges do this now, although it's in the tuition. Where do you think colleges get the money to offer scholarships, aside from donations from alumni?
And be advised, the money does not go specifically to non-white students. My wife recently graduated from college (Drexel, Architectural engineering) and received a partial scholarship from the school, Pell grants, several other small merit scholarships. And as far as I know, some of that money came from federal taxes that we both paid (and continue to pay) during our combined 76 years of paying taxes. And we're so white we glow (although that could have something to do with the nearby nuclear plant)

The "guilt" mentality of some of these liberal educators/politicians is for all intent and purposes creating racial strife.
Equality and parity should be based on ability not force.
Minorities do garner a lot of political favor in this country.. And it's cost is alway on the backs of taxpayers.
"A democracy is always temporary"
About the time our original 13 states adopted their new constitution, in 1787, Alexander Tyler, a Scottish history professor at the University of Edinburgh , had this to say about the fall of the Athenian Republic some 2,000 years prior:
"A democracy is always temporary in nature ; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship."
"The average age of the worlds greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years.
During those 200 years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence:
1. From bondage to spiritual faith;
2. From spiritual faith to great courage;
3. From courage to liberty;
4. From liberty to abundance;
5. From abundance to complacency;
6. From complacency to apathy;
7. From apathy to dependence;
8. From dependence back into bondage "

Well, I think 3.0 and above it good. The reason why I am saying that is: most scholarships for masters students require that to made 3.0 or better even before bothering to apply in the first place.l I am in my 2nd semester(1st year) studying BSc Agriculture. 6 out of 7 of last semester's courses result are out and it is around 2.57. I want to push harder and make better than 3.0 in the future.

It is blatant racism. I've always felt that programs based on race were racist but this one actually punishes one race to benefit another. Any attempts to "improve diversity" should be based on socio-economic factors and not racial factors. That way all people from poor communities and bad schools could get a chance to improve themselves and get a better quality of life, regardless of their skin color. There are poor people of all races who could use a helping hand when it comes to college. Affirmative action of any sort is just plain racism.

I think I need to see a link. Your post isn't very clear.
I found an article on this tuition increase....has NOTHING to do with "taxing whites" and what a surprise to see you twisting and distorting the issue. What in the world is wrong with raising tuitions? Isn't the price of everything else in this country going up?
Lots of colleges raise tuitions to "increase diversity" and please note in the article where the DEMOCRATS spoke out against it.
I also notice you don't mention that this was an idea they came up with TO USE LESS TAX DOLLARS.
You people just can't be satisfied.

I am SO sick and tired of you people misrepresenting.

VERY SAD....not all white people can afford college the way it is, but yet they are the ones who will have to pay more so someone else can get a free ride....way to be equal....

If true (which I doubt), it would never be held to be constitutional.
