Sometimes it takes some hard questions at a debate to wake people up. Hillary was finally caught off guard and couldn't cackle her way out this one.

To those above me THE QUESTION WAS ABOUT HILLARY NOT BUSH.
Hllary has the same disease a lot of politicians have chronic untruthfulitis. The media as usual has been reporting on candidates according to how much money they raise and how well they are polling as opposed to where they stand on the issues or their character. They Democrats (some of them) are SHOCKED because they haven't been hearing ANYTHING substantive about her only how well she's been doing in the polls.
Of course just like some of the people above me there are many who won't even lok at her flaws. Any criticism of her is redirected at Bush . This even though BUSH IS NOT RUNNING FOR OFFICE so it makes no sense to compare them

They're only 'shocked' because Hillary contradicted herself within a two minute time frame at the same venue. Generally speaking, Hillary has enough self discipline to pander to only one specific group at a time. Now our little champion of feminism is 'being picked on' by the big bad boys. Yet another conspiracy trying to bring her down.

As a student of history I am watching the 2008 presidential election through the eyes of it being a historical event.
98% of the people don't have a clue about the cost of business as usual.
We have business as usual RINOS.
Rudy, Mit, Fred, and McCain.
That said is any of these guys win and I need to keep the commies from getting the Whitehouse I will vote for them.
We have commies/fascists
Hitlery, Obama, Dodd, Richardson, Gravel and Edwards
We have a libertarian
Ron Paul
We have Conservatives -
Tancredo, Hunter, Huckabee,
What is at cost?
The Republic.
Doublespeak?
Rudy on gun rights,
Hillary on everything,
Fred on a bunch of stuff,
McCain (don't get me started)
Mit
Consistent.
Huckabee, Tancredo, and Hunter are consistent as is Ron Paul. Ron Paul is an enigma.
What issues need to be addressed.?
National Security
Excessive Spending
Entitlements
Immigrations
Energy Policy
For the conservatives who claim the abortion as the defining issue need to wake up and quit sniffing other women's snatches. I am a fiscal conservative and we need to gain control of fiscal policy and restructure the economics of our country to insure we don't lose the Republic. We need to privatize social security system so our sons and daughter will be able to set money aside instead of continued contributions to the Ponzi scheme established by the fascist FDR. We need to end the entitlements that have been growing the size of federal government since the LBJ days.
We need to close the damned borders so we don't jeopardize a major demographic shift from those who pay for government to those who use government as those who hold power.

Heres something you should know. If you are going to make a difference as a politician you have to get elected.
If you want to get elected you have to get votes.
The public doesn't care about the truth. The public votes for politicians who tell them that they are great and wise and that you support their ideas. The public also likes it when you have lots of waving flags and if you make christian noises.
The numerical differences between the parties is so close that you need every vote.
Politicians who are the best at telling people what they wan't to hear usually win.

Sadly, this is the worst bunch of potential canidates I can remember. It seems like I am just waiting for the least bad one to step up. So far there is no one I support from any party.

That is liberal SOP tell em what they want to hear. I guess the problem here is she did it in what I heard was less than 2 minutes and even a liberal who doesn't know how to vote or the definition of is means has the attention span to catch that error.
Perhaps the libs will wake up from the lies and the matrix that has them and vote Republican.

True true true, she has not changed her tactics one bite. She has always divided the difference to try and placate everyone. She never comes out and gives a solid stance on anything , except that President Bush is the reason for all the worlds troubles.

Hillary has re-defined the term 'Flip-Flop'.
She is actually spinning like a top.
Her campaign manager should consider nailing her OTHER foot to the floor.
Did you notice how many times during the debate that she cleared her throat while Obama was speaking, loud enough for him to hear.
To his credit, he only clutched the first time and then kept cruising. She eventually gave it up.
