Thought Police: How Brain Scans Could Invade Your Private Life

http://www.popularmechanics.com/science/research/4226614.html

I have to wonder, what if you thought of doing something and they arrested you on that thought not knowing that 5 mintues later the thought would have been changed by another event in your life. The crime may never have been committed even though you thought of it for a instance, a few minutes or even a few weeks. Should you be arrested for thinking something bad alone???

Laura W, what makes you think I voted Bush or that I have a political affiliation at all??? I guess that shows what kind of person you are. Still believing that you actually have a distinct choice. HA

It is ignorant not to at least the applications of new technology. Calling something paranoid or a conspiracy is just a spin to keep people from investigating for themselves.

Yes it's very bad to read peoples minds. It should never be done ever. It's like watching peoplw have sex without there permison or even rape if you want to get into it. Rape of the mind of course.

How can you read another person's thoughts? This is only science and not reality. I think we have all differences in our brain. If I got arrested for what I did in my mind I would be in prison long ago. We have to put pure thoughts in our mind and not let the negative gain a stronghold.

Reading anothers thought without permission is considered an intrusion if done deliberately. Though there is nothing you can do if it is spontaneous.
To be arrested for it would be disgusting.

Depends actually...ermm...u shouldn't be arrested though, because basically, to put it simply ' you haven't actually committed the crime yet' however, it's still a thought, no harm in that is there now?

No. Your thoughts are your own business. Everyone thinks things from time to time that would get you locked up for life lol but unless you act on them then there should be no reason to be punished.

um no...watch the movie minority report...or read 1984...that said....humanity would never place themselves in a situation where their thoughts are control and they are persecuted for their thoughts..than again you did vote bush in twice so anything is possible!
