Jimmy Carter, by far. But Bill Clinton has done some remarkable things with his Foundation and will undoubtably do a lot more. He is trying to change the way philanthropy works in a very smart way.

I think Bill Clinton has 'done more society'. I mean, he got a pretty good start 'doing society' when he was still in the White House. I just wish he'd do Hillary every now and then. Maybe that would take some of the toxins out of her psyche.

President Jimmy Carter, without question. President Carter continues, though old, to help build houses for the poor and work for world peace. What other President would go to third world countries and oversee elections or enter refugee camps? He is a great man.

American Heritage magazine said Jimmy Carter was the best former president. They said that what he did since he left the white house including negotiating peace in Central America, Habitat for Humanity, and organizing preventative medicine practices in Africa.

Later he received the Nobel Peace prize for what he did since he left the presidency.

I am really more interested in what they did while we were paying them to be President. What they did after has no influence on me one way or another. Most get richer speaking. if carter is so good,try reading the Book about how exactly the habitat works and how he treats his wife.

Bill Clinton...I saw a report a few weeks ago saying that the humanitarian efforts he has undertaken since leaving the WH have improved the lived of millions of people, mainly in Africa
