I know that most students during the Vietnam war were not a part of the SDS, but still--the lack of support and knowledge of politics is overwhelming! Discard the draft, and now no one knows what is going on! I'm not for the draft at all, but I don't understand why the younger generations can't be committed to learning about their country?

Basically he was complaining about his paycheck and said he was under the impression he was being paid more. I said no and asked where he heard that. He said that the other boss of our department said it (he and I have a similar job). He is on vacation, but I'm 99% sure this guy isn't supposed to be paid more. I told him he would have to wait until I got ahold of my coworker. He said he can't wait any longer because he has bills to pay and that he thought this company was "professional."

I told him he was free to leave at anytime and that people are pretty much lined up to get his job and that we won't miss a beat without him.

So he quit. Who's fault is this?

I was just wondering if it's possible for a pilot, in any branch of the military, to give a civilian a ride? Specifically on a helicopter?

We are supposed to have separation of church and state and many atheist are honest, upstanding citizens as well as honorable & good family people. In fact, some are better than the so called religious people. Disbelief in a god doesn't make a person bad. So, why not?

Given her history of complete arrogance and hatred towards the military and her constant insults spewed at them during her last stint in the White House, I wonder how many will actually be willing to die for her?

I think it's useless. Waste of taxpayers' money, and I'm kind of offended that I have to hold up a card to show I am an American. It reminds me of concentration camps...remember how the Jews had to wear Stars of Davids? Also...if we can counerfeit money...who's to say we can't duplicate these cards as well?

Does anyone know a bit about command sponsorship in Europe?

My husband and I recently got married and we both live in Europe. He is assigned here with the US Army and I am a canadian civilian working on the same base.

We recently moved into our new house but we are having a hell of a time getting our OHA and COLA taken care of. Everything else is in order (dependants ID, TriCare...) but getting command sponsorship is looking like an obstacle course all in itself.

Does anyone know how long it should take to get all the paperwork done and over with? Since we are both already here and not waiting for housing, shouldnt it be a matter of days and not a matter of weeks???

My hubby and his ex- split in 1998 and divorced in 1999. They had a child together in 93. In 1999, at the divorce and custody hearing the custody was given to the mother, the child's name was allowed to be changed to the mother's maiden name, visitation was authorized for my hubby, and ZERO child support was ordered. We never did get any of the visitation ordered as she disappeared with the child, and has not contacted us as ordered in the decree. Ok. So yesterday when we checked the mail, we have a court summons where she is sueing us for child support. I don't mind paying support for the child, but she also wants to be given support from 1998 to current. IS this actually LEGAL since no support was ordered in the orginial and it has been almost 9 years?? Also anyone know of any good attorneys in Hardin county, KY? Court date is Nov 13 (not even a month)

- the challenge to meet the final bid when the letter was auctioned on eBay ..like Rush Hudson Limbaugh lll did ?
Don't you agree it is the least they could do - to benefit children of our fallen U.S. Marines & Law Enforcement ? After all - Reid and his band of fraud poison-pens marauding as senators , smeared Rush.based on proven lies...and yet- Rush raised over $$$$ 4Million for a very worthy cause (Over $$ 2 Million of his own money) . They tried to rob a good man of his long standing reputation as a champion of the U.S. Military .
Why haven't these same 41 lying democrat senators who perpetrated fraud on Mr. Limbaugh (not to mention the American public) - BY SLANDERING A PRIVATE CITIZEN - donated to the fund that Rush raised millions for ? Or have they ?

I'm currently studying in UC Berkeley right now, but I really need some money for me to continue my study and living. I talked to a Navy officer last week, and he told me that if I join the Navy reserve, I will have 20,000 rewards, and 10,000 scholarship, plus I will work 2 days a month, and get 500 pay for that. The only thing I need to do is just to enter a 5-6 month's boot camp. After that I will only work 2 days a month. Also, he told me that Navy reserve never goes to war, unlike marine, af, army. I was really moved, could anyone tell me whether it is that good as he told me??

I personally would never vote for any democrat. They stand for nothing. Joe McCarthy had a point "there are no good democrats."

have worked for a boat company for 15 years. I am in charge of the service department. I have been asked recently to sing a confidentiality agreement. In that agreement, it also said I could not compete with my present employer. I after refusing to sign it because of the non complete provision, they removed it. I still dont want to sign because I am scared that it might affect futher employment. The agreement talks about secrets and I dont know of any secrets. I just fix boats. If they let me go, can I collect unemployment till I get back on my feet? I have three kids and a mortage payment and I am a little scared. Any advise would help! THanks
