No he would not.
He can do arithmetic and knows that would support the Republican, no matter who that was.
I do hope the Democrats are able to Draft him however. His 7 years in the Wilderness have made him the best man possible for the job, a far better man than he was when he won the presidency before the Coup
It is unfortunate but the largest mistake the Founding fathers made was not to realize that a "winner take all" system demands two parties and only two parties can play.
The only way a third party is possible is if the other two abandon the people so much that a third party supports positions that the majority of people hold and it is the two main parties the divide the rest. This has happened only once and over slavery.

Clinton-Gore have done more damage to the environment in their first 4 years than Reagan and Bush did in their combined 12 years. Saint Gore's and Clinton's position on climate change was to make sure that the Kyoto agreement doesn't call for more than a 5% reduction in fossil fuel use despite the fact that all credible scientists say a 70% reduction is necessary to avoid irreversible climate change.
The result: A teethles US-dominated Kyoto Protocole without US!
What do you think about this other Al Gore?

No - I think if anyone would know the counter productivity of a third party candidate it would be Gore. Nader's running in the 2000 election probably cost Gore the presidency (assuming that most of Nader's votes in swing states that Gore lost (Florida in particular) would have gone to Gore in Nader's absence).
If Gore wanted to run for president he would have stepped into the Dem nomination battle. He still could - but it is getting a little tight.

God I hope so. The best way to get him to run, is to flood him with signatures showing our support for him. I think he is our best choice and only possible winner in this next election should he run against republicans. I don't see Hillary winning this one, and will take votes away from those who could. There is a website for Gore, go to it and put your name on the list urging him to run.
