...it was my fault. I went to court and pled "no contest." I was a minor at the time, so my father is liable for me. We recently received a lawsuit for injuries from the other driver and the two passengers in the other vehicle. My insurance company, State Farm, notified us that they offered $10,000 for each person (totaling = $30,000) in the other vehicle as an attempt to settle out of court. It was denied. The suit does not state any particular amount of money they are asking for. With $300,000 of liability insurance and $1,000,000 umbrella policy, what do you believe the chances of my family losing any assets are? Our insurance company also stated that their injuries were "skin tissue" injuries. I just want to know what could happen. I really need some peace of mind and reassurance. My mother has been giving me h*ll about it. My father is going to a lawyer for advice, but I'd like to just get an idea on what to expect. I am having a lot of anxiety over this. Please respond.

Larry Craig is the Republican senator from Idaho that got caught by a policeman in some airport bathroom that is famous for gay men going to find random sex partners. First he plead guilty and resigned from the senate. Now he is withdrawing his guilty plea and trying to stay in the senate. He says it was all a big mistake and that he's not gay even though there are lots of men coming out saying they performed for him. Is it really possibly that this is really all a big coincidence and he didn't know what he was doing?

Both me and my twin have been named in my great grandmas will to receive and split a small inheritance of $5,000.
My Grandmother did not mention any of the other 30 something family members. Just the two of us.

No one else is said to inherit anything.

Her son was appointed executor and left to do decide what will happen to her assets. (property and acres of land) which is being sold now.
once everything has been sold $345,252.00 will remain.

Who decides were it goes?
Can her executor keep it? Or will have to divide it with family?.. if so will my sister and I receive a portion (anything at all?) if we are just the great grandchildren.

She did not specify how she wanted her assets to be divided.

Are we entitled to receive a portion of the $345,252.00
Or are we ruled out automatically because we were willed 5k to split

- speaking to the executor isnt an option.

I am a professional male with extensive experience in Social Services. It is very difficult and outright impossible for me to become employed in my field because I am not bilingual. For millions of Americans, we live by or with large concerntration of hispanics. The Social Services field provides many services to consumers who do not speak English. Even in Omaha and Des Moines, the need for bilinugalism was overwhelming. The straw that broke the camel's back for me was when I applied for a position in Waterloo, Iowa. It was a management position, and I qualified in every way. After completing both pages of the application, the VERY LAST LINE stated that the position required fluency to which I must read, write, and speak Spanish. I was deeply hurt. Waterloo is mostly whites and blacks.
Millions (literally millions) of educated workers are in the same predicament. Secretaries and Office Managers have it worse. I will learn Spanish because I want to have a job.

Are our politicians giving America away for business interests to the detriment of the citizens? Bottom line of everything in this country is money. We the people, the legal and natural citizens of this country are taxed and regulated to death. The others in our society here illegally mostly are a giant drain on our infrastructure, especially schools and medical facilities. Sure they pay taxes when they buy things, what do you think happens to social security taxes paid when it's found out the number is false? Governor Spitzer of New York is trying to give illegal aliens drivers licenses. Our jobs are being outsourced, foreign countries buying bits and pieces of America, massive debt with China, talk of a North American Union and a superhighway. The question. Is America being sold to the cheapest bidder for labor while millions and millions of illegals flood into our country? What is our nation going to look like in another twenty years?

So this raises the question.. what exactly did he want "wiped from the map"? The answer is: nothing. That's because the word "map" was never used.

So what did Ahmadinejad actually say? To quote his exact words in Farsi:

"Imam ghoft een rezhim-e ishghalgar-e qods bayad az safheh-ye ruzgar mahv shavad."

That passage will mean nothing to most people, but one word might ring a bell: rezhim-e. It is the word "regime." pronounced just like the English word with an extra "eh" sound at the end. Ahmadinejad did not refer to Israel the country or Israel the land mass, but the Israeli regime. This is a vastly significant distinction, as one cannot wipe a regime off the map. Ahmadinejad does not even refer to Israel by name, he instead uses the specific phrase "rezhim-e ishghalgar-e qods" (regime occupying Jerusalem).

Ok read this:

My friend brought his camera to school (which are not allowed but we diden't lnow that). We brought it to videotape a fight. The 2 people fighting were doijng it just for fun, they diden't hate each other. Anyways we video taped it, it only lasted 10 seconds maximum. So we did that 5 or 6 days ago. My friend brough his camera to school again today but put it in his locker, no one saw him have it. The principal randomyly makes him go get the camera, they watched the whole tape and found the fight.

Can the school get in trouble for that? What if my friend had somthing private on the camera? That would be invasion of privacy. Is there any laws against what the school has done to us?

Personal freedoms are being squashed … the fabric of Iraqi society has been ruined."

Public parties are banned. Selling musical CDs is forbidden in shops. Those who sell or consume alcohol face recrimination, even death. Artists and performers are severely restricted and even labeled as heretics. A famous city landmark, a replica of the Lion of Babylon statue that stood here for decades was blown up by militants in July. It was considered idolatrous, according to the strict interpretation of Islam.

Signs ordering women to cover up appear throughout the city. One woman, an Iraqi female activist from Basra, says the notices even threaten death. One banner, she says, said unveiled women could be murdered and no one could remove their bodies from the street.

I'm going to try to keep this simple. I'm not looking for any legal advice at all, I just want some opinions on this situation.

My husband started working for a trucking company. A few days into the job, he slightly damaged a truck. He told the owner about it immediately, he offered to pay for it. The owner said - no worries, you aren't used to this size truck, you don't have to pay. The owner ended up firing him 5 or 6 days later due to a conflict they had. We have now received, with husband's final paycheck, an invoice addressed to my husband for $2600 to pay for damage to the truck. When my husband was fired, he had to write up an explanation as to what happened and sign it. He even included the fact that the owner did not want him to pay for it when it happened.

Can we call the insurance company to see if he placed a claim? I personally think he is trying to get double money which would be insurance fraud. Can they do anything legally to get the $$ from us?

I have a minor traffic ticket from summer of this year that is $99. I appeared for both court times and dates this summer and pleaded guilty since I was guilty. I was to pay the $99 a week later which I thought I'd have the money by then. That was in late August but I never got the money. I have been out of work for along time and I've barely had enough to live off of at times. I got a letter in the mail but I don't live in that area anymore and I'm completely out of state looking for work. I need to know what I could do to pay this off and what if anyone on here knows what the judge had typed to me in the letter. Thanks
