It depends on the outcome of the next elections.

If a Democrat wins then we will have about 1 to 2 years while AQ rebuilds and begins another series of attacks.

Its possible, although I don't think it will happen too soon. They have to focus more on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

They are not trying to destroy us, they don't have that capability. Instead they are trying to bleed us dry. Slowly. There will be more attacks as long as they continue to win the hearts and minds of those who suffer and convince them that America is behind it.

It would likely be in big cities, where more damage can be done -- people, industry, commercial. But the most damage is in our pride. WTC wasn't just two buildings. It was symbolic of our achievements, our ambition. Further attacks will be on symbols. The original Constitution, Liberty Bell, Golden Gate bridge, Mt Rushmore. Its a message, and every time we forget, they'll have to send us another one.

It depends on circumstances as they take place over the next year.
a) If the Bush administration sees more popular support for the Iraq 'war', or believes it needs to remain in control in order to achieve its oil and war-profiteering efforts, there will be another 'terrorist' attack. This time it will take place in the Midwest (probably Chicago or St. Louis). This time more people will be killed and more damage will accrue.
Then the wealthy elitists and industrialists who selected Bush as our President for the past eight years will order Bush to declare martial law, claiming it is in the best interests of the nation not to change administrations in a time of national crisis. Since Bush has virtually eliminated the Posse Comitatus Act of 1879, it will be easier for him to do this without the consent or approval of Congress or the American people.
b) If, on the other hand, it appears that the most severe economic depression in American history is about to strike our nation in 2009 or 2010, you'll see a mediocre attempt on Republicans' part to win ANY elections. They will conspire to let the Democrats win in a landslide, then blame Democrats for the depression, which will allow them to be poised for the 2012 elections. -RKO- 10/17/07

Terrorist attacks are inevitable everywhere. Even if it takes twenty years for one to materialize.

Because to be fair, terrorist attacks haven't been pulled off on American soil for over six long years.

If another terrorist attack happens in the U.S. it will be because Bush did not accomplished his duty to protect the U.S. through his ineffectiveness and failures.
