I'm watching newsnight, its about the Lib Dems.
They are just a waist of time, spouting out rubbish the idealists want to hear. they have as much chance as getting elected as I have of having a tartan poo.

Granted, I am a republican, but I do have friends who are democrats. I don't like them less. We both respect each others views, and respect the difference between them. I respect that instead of just venting they get out there and try to do something. I may not agree with what they are doing, but they are actually doing something. I don't think everyone can hold hands and sing Love Train, but the sheer hate is a little annoying. I find it annoying because most of the time these individuals are only spouting off at the mouth with no facts or comprehension of the topic. I like political humor, but too much is too much. Anyone feel the same?

"In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial"

from the 6th amendment

Regardless of whether or not he is guilty or innocent, the grand jury is taking a LONG time coming up with an indictment. How long do they get? This whole mess has been going on for well over a year. I would think that we are, if not breaking the 6th amendment, close to it.

Our Navy has not only been infected with the disease we all know as political correctness but it has come under the influence of international lawyers who pay homage to the U.N. Asked why U.S. Navy officials were supporting UNCLOS, one Navy Commander, with an important position in the Department of the Navy, told me, “The political leaders don’t really understand the issue, and they all listen to the lawyers. And the lawyers are all liberal. It is absolutely the problem. The Navy JAGs and the OGC [Navy’s Office of General Counsel] are liberal. It is a tragedy.”

We should have had some inkling of the problem when, in 2001, a U.S. Navy EP-3 reconnaissance plane was brought down and the crew made hostages by the Chinese. The Chinese regime detained the crew for 11 days and the plane for more than three months. The crew was released after a U.S. statement that China interpreted as an apology.

Hi, im 17 years old and I think...

...theres alot of proof that the united states Would want this to happen... their war on (supposedly) terrorism was fueled by fear...
the people of the U.S. didn't know who to target, so the U.S.
chose Iraq... the U.S. planned to attack Iraq 8 months before 9/11...
billions of dollars are sent to Iraq and disappear...
our government is full of people who dont care about its people, the care about money...

don't you?

I was living in NY since childhood and received a couple speeding tickets and some other minor moving violations. The tickets were given to me on my NY Drivers License I then moved to Utah and applied and now have a Utah drivers License. I havent gotten anything in the mail here in Utah even though I used address forwarding from my home in New York, and I was getting other mail.

The court dates on the tickets were 2 years ago so it has been a decent amount of time.

I am now going back to NY to visit family and was wondering if I end up driving for some reason and get pulled over or more scary though not sure how plausible when I arrive or am about to depart from the airport in new york will I get arrested.

Like I said I was given the tickets on my NY license and now have had a Utah License even got pulled over ticketed once with no problems do I still need to worry can I still just pay the original fine if i called them up will they arrest me at the airport or on a routine stop?

Acceptable answers:

A. I knew it would happen before the Iraq War started.
B. I didn't know it would but now accept it. Something needs to change.
C. I know it happened and do not care. It is stupid of you to even consider we are fighting in Iraq to stop terror.
D. I didn't know it happened and will continue to live in ignorance.

Note that answering "C" or "D" will automatically make you a racist.

I've just finished reading about a 27 year old woman in NZ being sentenced to 18 months jail for having a sexual relationship with a 14 year old boy. And as an add on they say she also got him hooked on drugs and alcohol. This is pretty much how it is in the West. Why? If it had been a man and a 14 year old girl he would have been labeled a pedophile, had his name put on a register somewhere for the world to see and sentenced to 6 to 12 years, or even more, because it would have been considered rape given the involvement of drugs and alcohol. Can anyone explain to me why women get off so light in these types of cases? Where's the equality before the law? And what about the victim? He hardly rates a mention. Its a funny world we live in.

In a vote today, on Senators Webbs Iraq bill to give the troops the same time between tours as they have deployed.

Nine Democratic Senators voted with the Republicans to defeat his bill.

Is this the end of Democratic solidarity ?

Are more and more Democrats now going to shift to the Republican position on Iraq ?

Did the embarassing MoveOn.org newspaper ad, make the Democratic Senators rethink their positions ?

I'm writing a persuasive essay that's FOR the separation of Church and State that is in the constitution, not the overblown stuff we see today.

I was wondering if anyone could help me get my hands on some statistics (based on prayer in school, crime rate, morality, etc) and any articles based on it. They can be for or against it, though I'm arguing a more moderate approach than many other people usually do.

Please, just stick the to question.

A woman in Texas was just receintly given life prison for not calling 911, but dragging her feet. The couple did take him to the hospital themselves but it turned out to be too late.

Is this a rare verdict? I haven't even been able to find a case here in Texas before now.

Personally, I see our country headed into the "Ultimate Depression" very, very soon. We've put so much money and energy into saving another country's economy that we've shattered our own in the process.

Though each '08 Presidential Candidate represents strong values for a multitude of other important issues, the key issue, to me, is the economy.

I honestly do not have a real grasp on which candidate could bring us out of this recession. Help me and those others that are curious find the answer. Thanks

I AM NOT FUNNY AND I AM RUNNING AGAINST PEOPLE WITH TONS OF FRIENDS...how should i write my speech? i don't want to be too funny or it will sound strained...and if i'm not funny, i will get no votes because i'm known as the "person who takes education too seriously"...i'm STUCK!!!!

FOX NEWS EXCLUSIVE
The statement tells American voters that Abu Hafs al-Masri supports the re-election campaign of President Bush: "We are very keen that Bush does not lose the upcoming elections." The statement said Abu Hafs al-Masri needs what it called Bush's "idiocy and religious fanaticism" because they would "wake up" the Islamic world.

MORE TERRORISTS FOR BUSH
Al Quaeda group officially backs Bush
"The statement said it supported U.S. President George W. Bush in his reelection campaign, and would prefer him to win in November rather than the Democratic candidate John Kerry, as it was not possible to find a leader "more foolish than you (Bush), who deals with matters by force rather than with wisdom."

In comments addressed to Bush, the group said:

"Kerry will kill our nation while it sleeps because he and the Democrats have the cunning to embellish blasphemy and present it to the Arab and Muslim nation as civilisation."

"Because of this we desire you (Bush) to be elected."

I mean if those DVDs are not available from the publishing company like Warner Bros. (on their website) but some other website is selling them. I asked them how they got them and they said they got them from someone else who produces them from copying from TV shows. They're just retailing them.

Now I wanted to know if this is legal with respect to copyrights?

I want to be certain before I buy that the material is not pirated. Would appreciate if someone knows the legality behind this.
