In a vote today, on Senators Webbs Iraq bill to give the troops the same time between tours as they have deployed.

Nine Democratic Senators voted with the Republicans to defeat his bill.

Is this the end of Democratic solidarity ?

Are more and more Democrats now going to shift to the Republican position on Iraq ?

Did the embarassing MoveOn.org newspaper ad, make the Democratic Senators rethink their positions ?

Actually, I think it could have something to do with the additional Dream Act added to the Defense Bill.
I am sure there are a lot of factors into why there was the dissension that there was.

But I think a few Democrats are getting Ashamed that the Democrat Party is Supporting Insurgents & Terrorists.
They are not happy being Traitors, just to win in 2008.

Doubtful.

But I think it's really sad that Congress thinks less of our troops than Bush does.

He wants to stay the course no matter what, and Congress wants our troops to stay in that war--even at the cost of their sanity and families.

You seem to have a problem with that bill. So much for supporting the troops.

This particular bill says nothing about the dems position on the war.

Same could be said about the GOP Senators that have jumped ship from Bush and oppose his policies - Warner, Hagel, et. al.
