Acceptable answers:

A. I knew it would happen before the Iraq War started.
B. I didn't know it would but now accept it. Something needs to change.
C. I know it happened and do not care. It is stupid of you to even consider we are fighting in Iraq to stop terror.
D. I didn't know it happened and will continue to live in ignorance.

Note that answering "C" or "D" will automatically make you a racist.

it's funny that right-wingers accept offical american intelligence reports when it is in line with what they believe but dismiss it when it proves them wrong.

actually, that's not funny at all. that's scary.

The attack on Iraq had little (nothing) to do with terrorism. The only two reasons it has since elevated are, Iran needs oil and is destabilizing the region in hopes we will do as we have always done -- get soft in the belly and head and lose our spine, pull out prematurely. And because there are so many who simply don't know how to follow the bread crumbs (look at the facts). They (you) instead choose to believe whatever is blowing in the wind. You have emboldened the terrorists with your disention. Please note that CNN Headline News carried a story about both the President of Iran and the leader of al Qaeda in Iraq and their commending the U.S. voters for having voted in the democrats. The story was carried the day after the November elections.
Does this make me racist? Nope, just a hellova lot smarter than you. I pay attention. How muuch oil did Iran export over the last three years?
Terrorism is up in Iraq. Thank you democrats and Iran...

A and B.

Any attack in an unstable region just causes more instability. The fact that we botched the occupation is not surprising, given that the entire plan was based almost solely on optomistic idealism -- which rarely stands up to gunfire.

However, I challenge your assumption that C or D is automatically racist. Many people don't care, or choose to not care, for reasons that have nothing to do with race or religion or hatred of either of those.

I'm not a lemming, so I'll say that I disagree with all four. The threat has gone down, as evident by the terrorist actions being limited to the Middle East. If we surrender and pull out of Iraq, it will open the floodgates to terrorists from Iran and Syria. You can then expect to see more attacks on our own soil.

The threat hasn't changed at all. It has been at the same relative level since al Qaida declared war on us 2 decades ago. Other Islamic Exremists before that. The only difference is that we are more aware of the threat.

*Your last note pretty much destroys whatever qualitative argument you may have had.

The way I see it is that there has not been another 9/11 and unless we did something, we would have gotten more of that. So we went to war and nothing has happened since, at least nothing as big as 9/11.

You must be joking! The only acceptable answers are those you choose? You need to move to a place where dictatorship is alive and well. Buy a one-way ticket to Miami, Florida. It's only 90 miles from there...you can make it!

E. I am now scared to turn on my television because Bill O'Reilly or Joe Scarborough or the alien life form Ann Coulter will be telling me that I'm un-American because I'm anti-dead troops. Apparantly, only by experiencing mass casualties can we show our patriotism. I killed a mouse today to prove my patriotism. Tomorrow I'm going to put some salt on a bunch of slugs in the name of Tibetan freedom. Peace and humptiness forever.

You're just parroting the same erroneous theory of every Dem, Lib, and Lefty on the planet.

Try thinking for yourself. It's actually quite rewarding.

Or just go and hide in your little corner and hope that Mr. Terrorist will just go away magically like Mr. Hitler did.

There's the numbers on terrorism after the war. The attacks in the MidEast before the war are eyepoppingly low. We stirred up a hornet's nest in the name of...what? W.M.D.'s? What a joke.

Duh.

Regardless, Bush still thinks we are "winning" the war.

(Maybe for Halliburton and Blackwater...)
