I mean if those DVDs are not available from the publishing company like Warner Bros. (on their website) but some other website is selling them. I asked them how they got them and they said they got them from someone else who produces them from copying from TV shows. They're just retailing them.

Now I wanted to know if this is legal with respect to copyrights?

I want to be certain before I buy that the material is not pirated. Would appreciate if someone knows the legality behind this.

I have sent two emails to Warner Bros. and have not got any reply yet. First email bounced back as they thought I was spam even though I used their own tech support form to post the question and didn't directly send them the email.

Am waiting on the second email, to see if they respond.

If you want to be sure, contact the original production company and ask if this new company has the rights.

wait a month or two and see if the website is still in business. it could be just a scam to get your money. patience is a virtue here.
