Like mysterious stock market put options very similar to 9/11 put options, the Britain economic panic, France calling for war in Iran, Greenspan saying the economy is Bush's fault, and international leaders saying 9/11 was an inside job and calling for war crimes tribunal against Bush.

I was recently informed that a job was reserved for someone specific - before the vacancy was posted. It affects me in that I am one of the applicants for the job. Is it possible that there is something illegal taking place right before my eyes?

Part II of my question - who do I bring this up to - and when... my HR department, the EOE, or the Director doing the hiring (mine is an internal application). Do I bring this up now or after the recipient of the job is placed?

Recently, I rented a very expensive vacation house. Upon arriving, the house was a disaster with broken tiles and broken stairs. None of the kitchen appliances worked. Many of the advertised amenities were either missing or broken. On top of this, there was a terrible leak coming through the kitchen ceiling from the floor above. It was definitely not the beautiful house advertised. I asked for a partial refund from the owner. He had a thousand excuses why the house was in this condition and refused to issue a refund. I said that I would make a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. He then said that if I made this complaint, he would sue ME for the water damages!! This was apparently a long running leak based on the huge crack and water stain on the wall. Isn't it illegal for this company to threaten me like this? By the way...I made the complaint and the owner admitted to the threat but said he was 'joking'. Still no refund.

"In the next century, the community of nations may see more and more the very kind of threat Iraq poses now -- a rogue state with weapons of mass destruction ready to use them or provide them to terrorists, drug traffickers or organized criminals who travel the world among us unnoticed.

If we fail to respond today, Saddam and all those who would follow in his footsteps will be emboldened tomorrow by the knowledge that they can act with impunity, even in the face of a clear message from the United Nations Security Council and clear evidence of a weapons of mass destruction program."

I hear they are not doing so well, gee, I wonder why. Could it be that the elected officials forgot why they were elected, or simply forgot who elected them, either way, it dont look good for donkey tribe.

My husband and I live outside of a military base where there seems to be gang related activity. The police do not patrol out here and its kind of scary. We had no idea we were moving into a place like this. In the daytime it seemed so nice.

People say that the tags that have just went up have something to do with the Crips.

Is there somewhere I can go for help or advice on base? The police don't want to take time to talk to me.

I know where the people who did the tagging live they have cars coming and going all the time.

Its scary to think that my husband could go somewhere and I could be left here all alone. Everyone else in the neighborhood is worried too, and people do not want to talk about it.

There must be something that can be done or someone who can help me or that I can go to for advice if my husband is gone....

Mercenaries are paid about four times as much per month as the starting salary for a soldier, so we would have more money to pay soldiers if we didn't use those guys, or at the very least, our government shouldn't be paying more for merc than they pay our troops.

Also, unlike our troops, they aren't subject to the UCMJ, so they are unaccountable for their actions. Consequently, they have been more abusive with Iraqis which leads to more ill-will against the occupation which could result in violence toward our troops. Just today, the Iraqi government demanded that one of the mercenary companies leave Iraq. If the mercs behavior is so bad the Iraqi government is willing to defy Bush, you can be sure other Iraqis would be mad enough to take a shot at one of our soldiers.

So how exactly is using these private contractors, who got their job through political connections helping the troops?
