They were both right for their time. Which one was better is a judgement call.

The Kennedy administration simply did not last long enough to really make a good judgment of where it would have gone given 8 years, like Reagan. Both were right for their time.
If the 1980 Reagan sat down with the 1960 Kennedy and had a debate there would be little they disagreed upon.

For their times, Kennedy was the better President.
Granted, Kennedy's administration didn't get to last two terms, and we will never know how great - or dismal - eight years of 'Camelot' would have been.
Reagan, on the other hand, was one of America's worst Presidents. His failed 'Star Wars' initiative was a costly blunder that taxpayers paid for dearly. He took credit for the release of American hostages from Iran on the day of his inauguration when he could have invited Jimmy Carter to the podium so that the two men could raise hands in mutual victory. Carter sacrificed his re-election while he dedicated his energy to the release of the hostages. Reagan's IranContra affair was one of the biggest scandals of the time. Reagan's 'trickle-down' economics provided benefits for the wealthy at the expense of the poor.
My list of the TOP TEN BEST PRESIDENTS;
10. Franklin D. Roosevelt
9. John F. Kennedy
8. Theodore Roosevelt
7. George Washington
6. Harry Truman
5. Dwight D. Eisenhower
4. Jimmy Carter
3. Bill Clinton
2. Thomas Jefferson
1. Abraham Lincoln
My list of the TOP FIVE WORST PRESIDENTS;
5. Herbert Hoover
4. Lyndon B. Johnson
3. George H.W. Bush
2. Ronald Reagan
1. George W. Bush

Reagan hands down. In a close look at the Kennedy presidency one will realize that he didn't really do much. He started Viet Nam, he failed in the Bay of Pigs. The only reason he is idolized today is because the liberals loved him and because he was seen as a martyr.

I agree that Kennedy wasn't around for long but I can never understand why Republicans support a man like Reagan.
He emboldened terrorism by cutting and running in Lebanon.
He strengthened Islamic extremists by dealing with them in Iran.
He supported the very people we claim are our greastest threats now in OBL and Saddam.
He cost us enormous good will by supporting vile dictators like Soeharto, Pinochet and Marcos against thier democratic opponents.
He spent like a drunken sailor on leave accumulating more debt than the 39 previous presidents combined.
He oversaw the highest levels of poverty seen in the US since the mid 60s.
OK - he did happen to be around when the USSR imploded.

Better president...Reagan. Better womanizer...Kennedy, although he didn't have much opportunity to leave his mark, other than the Bay of Pigs and Cuban Missile Crisis fiascos.

Are you kidding?
Reagan was NOT a good president. Remember the Iran Contra Scandal? Reagan was also racist. He called all Black women derogatory names as if ALL were on welfare with many children. He gave tax breaks to the rich.
Kennedy was a better president by MILES...
