They don't allow you to do jury duty if your past experiences I.E. personal agenda would conflict with your ability to make a clear headed desicion.

I have never served nor will I ever serve on a jury! I have too many issues that would interfere with my ability to make a fair and just decision. I don't believe in the death penalty, I don't believe in plea bargaining, I don't believe in awarding large sums of money in what is nothing more than a nuisance suit, I do believe in mercy "killings," I don't engage in the rush to judgement that many people find expedient and I don't think that the police or our justice system are infallible. I'd be the hold out juror...I just know I would because I can see both sides of an issue all too clearly and could never simply flip a coin.

The US court system says that the court decides on the law and juries decide on the facts. I believe that is wrong.

Juries were set up to judge both the law and the facts. If the law is wrong the jury has the responsibility to nullify it. The courts do their best to dis-allow this - the call it jury nullification when it is really law-nullification.

I would not be allowed on any jury because I believe that a jury judges both the law and the facts.

Nothing would interfere with my ability to make a fair and just decision.

However, I'm an insurance adjuster by profession. As a rule - lawyers don't like to put us on jury's.

I never worry about not being able to make a fair and just decision.

I can spot a guilty man a mile away.
