My wife got injured while on the job. It was 4-5 yrs ago. It is a workmens comp case. She received multiply injections into her spine to correct a spinal injury she received. At that time the insurance co. gave us 40,000$ as a settlement. That was 3 yrs ago. Now she just had major back surgury to try to correct the problem. She is still healing. We paid NOTHING out of pocket. But we were told she would never be 100% of normal. Now we have been told by people that we should seek another settlement. Now I dont believe we do because we signed a statement that we would not seek anymore $. I have no idea what chance (if any) we have. But she is never going to be 100% of normal. Doesnt that account for more? I dont know. What do you think?

This is a reminder to all those who care, whoever your candidate is (mine is Ron Paul). The 3rd Quarter ends Sep 30th!!

So please squeeze up a(nother) donation as much as you can, the numbers will be published and people will start to base their decision on what others have done. TWO WEEKS LEFT. Nothing too small, $25, $50, $100, get a friend to do the same, remember, one person can only donate $2,300.

Hint : Clinton and Obama don't need money, it's one or the other and money ain't going to settle it.

I am really close friends with a Marine who is serving in Iraq. We have known eachother for almost ten years and were extremely close during his last vacation.

I write him letters, e-mails, and send cards all of the time. He very seldomly writes back, but he does read all of the things that I send. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas as to why he doesn't write back often? It has been months at a time, but when he does write back, he writes very nice things.

I haven't met ANYONE in real life, who in ANY way endorses or supports her. Republicans are using her to mock the democratic party. Even myself, a strong liberal, thinks she's the worst choice for president. who actually endorses her?

I seek your advice and expertise in regards to a subject matter that I know very little about; protecting an idea. I have conceptually revolutionized an aspect of marketing for a particular televised sporting event. It is with high hopes that I can transform this vision into a reality. I cannot further allude to what I have thought of and, for this reason, would like to protect my idea. (In a sense own the rights to it.) Perhaps a copyright or a patent is in order? While I could not tell you the difference between the two, I am certain there does exist a strong dividing line. Which would be most appropriate in this instance and how should I proceed to protect this notion of mine?

Furthermore, once I have rightfully obtained ownership of this concept/ marketing strategy, how might I go about selling it? Obviously it would be necessary to establish contact and ultimately a relationship with the firm, but what approach should one take?

Freedom, not diversity, made America great. Another one that usually get's me in trouble is "I still believe that America is the greatest country in the world" Does that one make me arrogant?

I just got home to find in my mailbox a sealed plastic bag/wrapper containing a large envelope my sister mailed to me a few days ago. It contained a couple dozen folded, handwritten letters our father had written to our mother 50 years ago, and were of sentimental value. The wrapper was imprinted with "WE CARE," and message goes on to say they sincerely regret and apologize for the damage done to our mail, and the postmaster hopes we understand that these things sometimes happen due to the high speed of mail processing equipment. I say, "Bull hockey!" The flap had been neatly opened, not ripped or sliced. Everything SEEMED to be intact, but I have no idea. Neither my sister nor I ever counted the letters, or would be able to tell if any were missing. I really believe the envelope was x-rayed, flagged as potential terrorist communications, and intentionally gone through page by page. Am I being paranoid? I don't really care as much about the invasion as being told a bold-faced lie.

If they didn't someone must have told them. You see, the new law in Portugal is that the Police may now, since yesterday newly enacted law, more freely make public the evidence they have against "arguidos" ( official suspects ). Time for a fast exit, Kate and pack the soft toy". "What about our Maddie, Gerry ?" --- "Are you taking the mickey ?!" , replies Gerry
Do you think that could be a connection between that change in the law of Portugal and the McCanns fleeing Portugal ?! The Police could not prevent them from leaving Portugal... they did not officially know that law would change. So, now, not shouting but emphasizing, WHO SPEAKS FOR MADDIE ?! No one does anymore. According to the Portuguese police, Maddie is at the bottom of the Atlantic. I suggest people search for Portuguese newspapers and have their articles translated by Yahoo Page Translator. WHO SPEAKS FOR MADDIE ?

Why do so many people want the government to control every aspect of their life? If the government controlled our healthcare, what real decisions would we have in life? Why are people willing to give so much power to government when they can't even run programs like social security, welfare, medicare, medicaid, education, and taxation?

Ok, I know I've asked this question before, but I'm still confused about what to do. I want to join the army sometime soon, but I don't know if I should go to college first to become an officer or just go in enlisted. I don't really know what I want to do career-wise yet, so I was thinking that maybe it would be best to go in as an enlisted, but what do you think? There was also a part of me that was thinking about making the army my career. What do you think? Army or college? Thanks.
