For example even when many products say, "Made in America" half the ingredients are supplied by and purchased from China.

I don't even know why I'm thinking about this because it won't matter anyway, but I'm sick to death of their crap. I can't even fed my cat or buy a child a gift without wondering if I'm really poisioning them.

Everyone, including Republicans, I have talked to who have really listened to the speeches and interviews of Dennis Kucinich think he really does make a lot of sense. The crowds of people listening to his speeches always give roaring applause and standing ovations. The top tier candidates ignore the fact that some of their bright new ideas have been Kucinich's ideas all along. Even Bill Clinton, in an interview, went to great pains to list all the Dem candidates except Kucinich. Kucinich is the only candidate who has the guts to go on Fox News when the others don't dare. The media and other candidates say there is no way to pull out our troops from Iraq without leaving the civilians unprotected but Kucinich has a well thought out plan to replace our troops with Mid Eastern peace keeping troops that he worked out with the ambassadors and leaders of the surrounding countries. The only problem is that Halliburton and the big American oil companies would get nothing.

Letter to the editor: “Andrea Keene’s selective morality is once again showing through in her July 15 letter. This time she expresses her abhorrence of abortion. But how we see only what we choose to see! I wonder if any of the anti-abortionists have considered the widespread use of fertility drugs as the moral equivalent of abortion, and, if they have, why they haven’t come out against them, too. The use of these drugs frequently results in multiple births, which leads to the death of one of the infants, often after an agonizing struggle for survival. According to the rules of the pro-lifers, isn’t this murder?”

3. In one of her columns, Abigail Van Buren printed the letter of “I’d rather be a widow.” The letter writer, a divorcée, complained about widows who said they had a hard time coping. Far better, she wrote, to be a widow than to be a divorcée, who are all “rejects” who have been “publicly dumped” and are avoided “like they have leprosy.” Abby recognized the pseudoreasoning for what it was, though she did not call it by our name. What is our name for it?

5. Letter to the editor: “Once again the Park Commission is considering closing North Park Drive for the sake of a few joggers and bicyclists. These so-called fitness enthusiasts would evidently have us give up to them for their own private use every last square inch of Walnut Grove. Then anytime anyone wanted a picnic, he would have to park at the edge of the park and carry everything in—ice chests, chairs, maybe even grandma. I certainly hope the Commission keeps the entire park open for everyone to use.”

6. “Some Christian—and other—groups are protesting against the placing, on federal property near the White House, of a set of plastic figurines representing a devout Jewish family in ancient Judaea. The protestors would of course deny that they are driven by any anti-Semitic motivation. Still, we wonder: Would they raise the same objections (of unconstitutionality, etc.) if the scene depicted a modern, secularized Gentile family?” — National Review

8. From a letter to the editor: “The counties of Michigan clearly need the ability to raise additional sources of revenue, not only to meet the demands of growth but also to maintain existing levels of service. For without these sources those demands will not be met, and it will be impossible to maintain services even at present levels.”

9. In February 1992, a representative of the Catholic Church in Puerto Rico gave a radio interview (broadcast on National Public Radio) in which he said that the Church was against the use of condoms. Even though the rate of AIDS infection in Puerto Rico is much higher than on the U.S. mainland, the spokesman said that the Church could not support the use of condoms because they are not absolutely reliable in preventing the spread of the disease. “If you could prove that condoms were absolutely dependable in preventing a person from contracting AIDS, then the Church could support their use.”

However somehow thru the court system he still gets my address and knocks on my door three days after his mother bails him out? Is this the courts screw up or just the way the stupid system is?

Would you go to war if non-government elements of a country committed acts of terrorism upon citizens of this country?

Would you go to war if non-government elements of a country committed acts of terrorism upon citizens IN this country?

Would you go to war if the President (it doesn't matter which one) reported credible evidence of a large scale terrorist attack in the near future(attack iminent)?

Would you go to war if the was evidence of a large scale infilitration into this country as the preliminary step for an attack (attack not iminent)?

Would you go to war if a country attacked members or a unit of our armed forces?

these men who allegedly making other travelers nervous, and later it was discovered they were Iraqis or some other Middle Easterners who had been invited here by our government to help advise on the war or something? The story does not sound right - I mean, if that is who they were, there should have been some acknowledgement of that. Do you have a link to that:?

He can't get over the fact that moved on from him and am now with someone else, he has just sent private intimate pictures of me to him and his and my friends to get me back? Please what can I do????

I live in Ontario Canada. I know his ip, how do I report him for violating his internet terms of service (he uses Rogers Yahoo Internet). What civil and what criminal avenues do I have?

I just need him to stop and leave me alone so I can get on with my life. :'( I was in an abusive realtionship for years with him...and he won't let me forget about it. Unfortunately this email he forwarded to me and his friends is the only proof of harassment I have. He's really good at covering his tracks. :(

My husband is an E-5 in the army and has been in for 5 years. He has done 2 year long deployments to iraq and is up for his 3rd (15 months) in december. he wont even have been home for a year yet. We have 3 kids and no family in the area. He came home with PTSD and now is refusing to go back for round 3. He wants out but we dont know how to go about it without some kind of serious condition. He has bad knees so he might be able to blow one out and get med boarded. We thought about AWOL and then come back right before 30 days, but there's no guarantee for discharge. Also thought about failing pee test but he doesnt want to goto jail just get kicked out! (he IS NOT a drug user) Up until this point has been the model NCO. Please no comments about how he sucks and should finish out his contract and bla bla (he has 3 years left on it). I dont wanna hear anything unless it's advice on getting us out before december!!!! thanks.

hi there, i had an accident about 8 weeks ago for going through a red light. There was on witness who saw me going through the light and the other guy who collided with also said i went throught the light at the junction. The police called me in 2 weeks ago for an informal interview where she asked me qustions and i answered and she wrote them down on a piece of paper. After everything she said to me she is going to put forward to the seargant a prosecution for an traffic offence which would give me 3points and 60pounds fine. i said the paper and i told her as far as i was aware the light was green and not red when i wen through it. Is it enough to have one witness to prosecute me ???? plust the police officers who interviewed me said i was a good person and i complied well therefore they would ask the seargant not to prosecute me. so what are the chances ? could they prosecute me if they have only one witness ?

I have an interesting situation and I would like to see if any knowledgeable people can provide me with a legislation showing the current rules.

I just got back from the middle east on a deployment.

The catch? I volunteered to go with this unit.

I didn't know when my home unit was deploying again.

Now, I don't want to give a date we are getting mobilized due to OPSEC. But I will say, it will be less than 1 year from when I got home. And definitely a shorter period of time being back, than I was gone.

So with these 3 things.

1. I just got back from a Volunteer deployment recently..

2. My home unit is deploying less than a year from when I got home.

3. This time period being home is shorter than the time to the next deployment.

with this information my question is:

Am I required to go with my unit on their next deployment.

Chaplains are considered non combative. I have heard that some Chaplains stay on base in what they call the "green zone" and that sometimes they go out with the troops, I have also heard that it is the chaplains choice, or that it is up to the commanding chaplain on base. Which of these is correct? And if an Army Chaplain does see combat, how often?

That seems unamerican, that you might have to join the Union to have the job, then they can turn around and donate part of your Union dues to candidates - usually democrats - that you would not support or vote for. Does that happen?
