whether or not murder is wrong is purely a matter of opinion, while some are quick to say,yes all murder is wrong, others will say no. You say that a member of my family is a victim of a pedophile, yet that family member still lives.
Others say that all murder is wrong, except for the death penalty. Which pretty much means. "murder is fine as long as I don't have to do it."
Murder cannot be lumped into strictly right or wrong. There is no black and white. There is only gray.
Legally, murder is wrong. There's your answer.
And just like everything else in life, there are consequences.
The question is. Can you deal with the consequences.
I cannot say whether or not I will kill somebody in my lifetime.
Everyone has their own line and this line may be undefined even to themselves. If someone crosses the line.Somebody hurts the right person or threatens the life of the right person, you may find that you, yourself will commit murder.
Murder wrong? Yes. Would I commit murder for the right reasons? Yes.
Ask not whether someone or something is worth killing for. Ask whether or not it is worth dying for.

Murder is wrong, my mother was murdered and it was wrong. Whatever the reason, it is wrong in the eyes of the law. After my Mum died, someone offered to do some serious damage to her killer (he was out of prison after 4 years, British Justice system triumphs again) but having had time to reflect, and knowing this guy had a 10 year old son, I let it be. I did not want another child to go through what I went through, it wouldn't have brought my Mum back.
I would not however, be responsible for my actions if someone harmed my child in any way. I do not think I would kill someone though, get even in another way, maybe.

Murder is wrong.
We run into disagreements as to when homicide is justifiable. I happen to think that there are no circumstances where a defenseless person can morally be put to death. That is, if someone is not trying to kill you or someone else, you should not kill them.
So someone who committed a heinous crime can be subjected to justice but that justice should not include execution of that person while in captivity or in a defenseless position.
I might feel differently when under duress and filled with rage but that does not mean I should act on that rage. There is no civilization if people put aside their morality because of their immediate emotions.

There can be no justification for murder or we would all be a risk. In the scenario you mention I'm sure we'd all want to kill but you just don't if you are civilised. You could only hope that the courts dish out a severe sentence.

I`m probably gona get hated for what i`m about to say. Most murder is wrong, obviously, but, think about those people who get a not guilty for self defence or diminished responsibility.I personally would kill anyone who sexually abused my daughter. That is so i would think.I really am finding it hard to answer as luckily i have`nt had to deal with anything like that. But my step daughter was beaten up by her baby`s dad,and i really did feel like killing him but i had to think of my own daughter. So maybe all is wrong but some is understandable.

Yes, murder is always wrong but I would accept the murder of a person suffering from an incurable and very painful illness ( mercy killing) as only legally wrong but morally right, if it was requested by the suffering person.

All murder is wrong. However I would be hard pushed not to commit murder if as you say a member of my family was a victim of a paedophile.

It's not as easy to kill things as you might think.
Most people that have had to do it regret it for the rest of their lives.
All moral issues are subject to current events. Theft is wrong, but if your kids were starving and your only option was to steal food, you would take it.
Murder is wrong.
If it were my kid and the opportunity arose?
I would do it in a heartbeat.

Murder is the criminal act of taking a innocent human life.
Justifiable Homicide is the killing of a person that is a threat to you or some other persons safety.
I think that your example would almost always fall into the second category... anyway it should!
