They demand gun control. They demand that government tell us to wear a seat belt. They demand that trans fats be banned. They demand smoking be banned. They demand restriction of information such as books that can be owned.

Then they complain that their rights are violated under the patriot act. Well if you are in contact with a suspected terrorist then you may be listened too otherwise you are a waste of time.

I posted an earlier question asking how come the physics of the crash were not correct and some person had the gaul to say it looked fine. If you have an aircraft grade aluminum plane with steel, plastic, and other various parts in it ( considering the engines, frame, chairs, etc ) All traveling at a high velocity would not make a building want to collapse unto itself like that so it looks like a controlled demolishion. Let alone you would be able to find the serial numbers, parts of the plane, BLACK BOX, etc if it did have enough momentum if it could have possible hit the support beam on the building and damage it. Judging by the video it doesnt look like it. Plus steel needs to get very hot in order to melt or even bend. One plane is not going to weaken a whole building. It could put a hole in it or do damage to the top but not demolish the whole thing. The heat is going to disperse too quickly. As well the temperature of any loose burning fuel is too low to affect the steel.

The popular theory is that there were two world wars in the 20th century. World War 1, with Germany and the Austro-Hungarian Empire against England, France, Japan, Russia and the US; and World War 2, with Germany, Italy and Japan against England, France, the Soviet Union and the US. Isn't it more accurate to say there was really one world war, with Germany and her allies against France, England and their allies?

There were 20 years between the end of "WW1" and the beginning of "WW2", but the German need for living space and resources was a dominant theme of both wars. Germany was not actually defeated in 1919, they merely signed an armistice. The unconditional surrender requirement, and the actual conquest of Germany and Berlin by Churchill, Stalin and Roosevelt finally ended the latest 30 years' war (1914-1945).

Do you agree?

Car accident my air bag didn't deploy. Brand new car (corolla s 2007)157miles on it. Some guy cut me off i tried to change lane lost control and crashed into the side. i was told i hit a telephone poll and maybe a sign. I don't know if i hit it straight on or not. I was also told my car had flipped, don't recall whether he said couple time or once. There is a big dent to the driver side cut into the motor where the wheel is (poll probably). The whole front is demolished and the car is totaled. I don't think you would be able to tell if it was a head on or side hit from looking at the car..thats how bad the front is. I was going 80-90mph or maybe less i don't recall exactly. The police officer was even surprise the airbag didn't go off when we talked in the hospital. i suffered a concussion, a bone fracture in the face, and minor cuts bruises. Do i have a case here?(against dealership)
I am very lucky to be alive.

The Founding Fathers guarenteed us "Freedom of religion", not "Freedom from religion."

America was founded on Judeo- Christian values.

Prayer and attending religous services have both been a part of our cultural experience since the arrival of the Mayflower.

Religous expression is part of the American identity.

Why should the National Day of Pray be controversial? If you don't want to pray, you don't have to?

Isn't that the same logic the libs use regarding t.v. violence? If you don't want to watch it, then don't.

(Details above from the book, "The Savage Nation".)

Aren't you just so sick and tired of how the liberal secularists are trying to secularize America?

I'm not going to bend over to some foolish atheist. TOO BAD IF THEY DON'T BELIEVE! I DON'T CARE.
America was founded for the freedom of worship to the Judeo- Christian God.
We can't forget that.
And we can't let these secular progressives make us forget and abandon our religious roots since the bi

We hate each other. Soon enough that hatred is going to explode. I'd like half of America to be Liberal and the other Conservative. I'm Independent myself.

Not gonna happen I know but still I like to dream big.

Certainly there are critics and proponents from both sides, but doesn't it seem more like a catch 22? Obviously one side will not be appeased with the decision to either stay or go.

While I would assume most Americans want the troops brought home, and I certainly do, there are too many adverse effects that would equate to an unstable government.
Then pro-war activists will claim it's a success. I agree to an extent that it is, but longterm occupation obviously is not going to work either.

How do YOU choose whether to stay or go?

Isn't it obvious to you by this point that Iraq is headed for a civil war?
We invaded without UN authorization - bad idea.
We disbanded the Iraqi army - bad idea.
We put Shia death squads in charge of the police and army - bad idea
Then we gave the Sunnis weapons to fight "al Qaeda in Iraq" - bad idea.

And now we are supposed to believe that "the surge" worked and that's why the British are leaving and we can leave too?

Whatever. Most people are not that stupid.

The resolution—sponsored by Republican Reps. Virgil Goode Jr. of Virginia, Tom Tancredo of Colorado, Walter Jones of North Carolina, and Ron Paul of Texas—expresses "the sense of Congress that the United States should not engage in the construction of a North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) Superhighway System or enter into a North American Union (NAU) with Mexico or Canada."
