They demand gun control. They demand that government tell us to wear a seat belt. They demand that trans fats be banned. They demand smoking be banned. They demand restriction of information such as books that can be owned.
Then they complain that their rights are violated under the patriot act. Well if you are in contact with a suspected terrorist then you may be listened too otherwise you are a waste of time.

Chi Guy- Exactly why many of the framer were against the bill of rights. They feared , and justly it appears, that those rights would be our only rights when in fact they were only rights that they wanted to insure states would not minimize.

Still looking for "Smoking in public venues" in the bill of rights. It must be in a later version. Who has the right to give others lung cancer? I support anyone who chooses to poison their lungs, as long as they don't poison mine with theirs.
The FDA bans harmful substances all of the time. Many we never even hear about. I support the 2nd amendment and everyone before and after it. Neo-cons only support the 2nd amendment and don't care at all about the others.
Neo-cons say "Pry my gun out of my dead hands". Shouldn't they also say "Tap my phone without a warrant in my dead hands"? This tells me that they just care about owning weapons, not about the Constitution.

More and more, I'm starting to believe that Liberalism really is a mental disorder.
I once saw a Lib woman being interviewed. She had some whiny complaint that prisoners were making license plates that had the words, "Choose Life" written on them. Now, that sentence could be interpreted as anything. It could be a plea against suicide. However, this nutty malcontent was not satisfied, and demanded the state cease the program. The interviewer asked her if she didn't see anything a bit ironic in her complaint. She was wearing a t-shirt that stridently demanded her "right" to a free abortion on demand.
See the insanity of the Liberal mind? This woman saw nothing unusual about trying to stop a positive message, while simultaneously seeing nothing wrong with demanding that our tax dollars finance her abortions.
As far as I can tell, no innocent person has ever been injured by the Patriot Act. However, that is not good enough for the Lib who whines that it has the potential to cause harm. Well, why don't we revoke the drivers licenses of all Libs then, even if they have no traffic offenses. They may have driven safely, but they have the potential to cause harm!

Gun control is not taking away your rights. Who said I wanted to make you wear a seatbelt. Secondhand smoke can cause an asthma attack, pose a serious risk to people with breathing problems, and cause lung cancer in people who do not even smoke. I do not want to ban smoking but if you want to smoke go outside. I do not demand restriction on any books...so I don't know why you would accuse me of that. I never said that my right to have a gun, smoke, not wear a seatbelt and my right to getting information from books was violated under the patriot act but it is illegal to wiretap someone without a warrant. If you want to wiretap someone fine but a judge has to decide that the person is dangerous enough to be wire tapped.otherwise it is an invasion of privacy. If the person was really a big threat than it would not be the hard to get a warrant on them anyway so why do YOU demand that we should no have warrants when it comes to wire tapping unless you suggest it is ok to spy on someone who did not do anything wrong and violate their rights as an American.

Oh......nice TRY, Locutus!!!
I'll give ya that much.
So, I guess as far as you're concerned, the government can do WHATEVER it pleases, as long as it gives YOU a warm, fuzzy sense of false security, right?
Right?
If you're too de-de-dee to wear your seat belt, then I guess it's just another case of "thinning the herd," eh?
If you're not informed enough to eat right, then I pity your cardio-vascular system. But don't make me pay for your poor eating habits in the way of higher insurance premiums.
All the smoking bans I'VE SEEN have been a clear and simple case of initiative and referendum. The PEOPLE have chosen to ban it; not the government.
Nice world you live in...
PS - Dead-nuts shot, Chi Guy!!!

Many Liberals demand none of those. Personally, I don't believe in the banning of trans fats or smoking or books of any kind. Gun control should be very limited.
Why aren't conservatives mad as hell about the "Patriot" Act?

They demand we buy carbon credits so Al Gore can get even richer but they won't tell Hollywood to stop flying their private jets and living in huge houses.
They demand the right to have sex whenever and with whoever they want but get upset when we say they should be a little less immoral...we are judging them so we are intolerant and should not force our morals on them. YET - they force gay marriage on those of us who think it's deviant.
The list is long and painful
Just remember - rational people do not think this way. Only the far left does. Hopefully with so many being gay and aborting their young - this population will dwindle over time.

Liberals only want laws that support their agenda. Anything else should be criminalized.
