Isn't it obvious to you by this point that Iraq is headed for a civil war?
We invaded without UN authorization - bad idea.
We disbanded the Iraqi army - bad idea.
We put Shia death squads in charge of the police and army - bad idea
Then we gave the Sunnis weapons to fight "al Qaeda in Iraq" - bad idea.
And now we are supposed to believe that "the surge" worked and that's why the British are leaving and we can leave too?
Whatever. Most people are not that stupid.

Answer me this. If the surge was a complete and utter failure, would you use it as proof that nothing can be done and that we should leave immediately? I thought so.
Now, if you would use it if it suited your agenda, why are you so against it now that it doesn't?
