Yes it's possible although you may be surprised at how intertwined our economies really are.
A family tried this for a year - wrote a book about it. See the link for a review.

before everything, this is technically extremely stressful to objective products from a rustic because of the fact this is not constantly categorized. to illustrate, an I Pad says Made in China, besides the undeniable fact that it does not say which chip got here from Japan, which chip got here from U.S., or notwithstanding if the reveal become from Korea, or the bolt from Thailand. Then a chinese language-made product, whilst packaged or assembled in yet another united states of america, is straight away relabeled, jointly with contained concerning many Made In US products. after all, this is a international economic gadget, chum. Why boycott products from a particular united states of america whilst something comes from everywhere? in case you're worried approximately working difficulty in China, then you certainly could desire to boycott particular products from China the place the generating facility's working difficulty does not meet your standards. there is slavery assemblies and there is severe-tech automatic workshops, a Made in China label does not describe all of it. so some distance as i comprehend, chinese language workers oftentimes savor greater beneficial working difficulty than those in Southeastern Asian worldwide places, like Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, etc.

It is difficult to identify from certain labels but you can start with not buying when the product does state "Made In China"---It will take more than a few to follow suit and make a tremendous difference.

I don't purchase made in China products. We have over 300 million people in this country and if they don't buy even the products that have the sign "made in China" then it will make a huge dent. Keep it up.

The US could raise the trade tariffs and have a minimum 200% tariff on anything that is produced in mainland china. That would put a nice dent in imports from that country.

If you don't care about not finding good value for certain things, boycott all you want. It'll just drive the prices of Chinese products lower for the rest of us. Thanks.
