We have all seen pictures of lots of Navy personnel sitting at radar or sonar screens wearing long white gloves and white balaclavas over their heads. Why do they do this? Are they in case of fire? Thanks for your help.

"Sen. Larry Craig of Idaho pleaded guilty this month to misdemeanor disorderly conduct after being arrested at the Minneapolis airport."

Westerners keep saying "free Tibet" and believe that China took over Tibet and is now an occupying force. However, my question is; was Tibet ever a sovereign country?
According to the Chinese from an older generation, like 1920s; Tibet was always a part of China, and it was never a sovereign nation. It was when China was going through so much chaos in the early 1900s did Tibet try to split away, at which point the stupid Chinese commies went there and to re-establish authority by killing monk.
The point is the world thinks of Tibet as a sovereign state, which China recently conquered, but according to older Chinese Tibet was always apart of China and got smacked around when they tried to leave. Can anyone confirm this.
It would be a shame if the western world has been fighting a cause based on lies. But then again stupid liberals often act on lies and false facts. Liberals are like children looking for a purpose for living.

a friend of mine got in an accident. She ran into a telephone pole ad got cited for loss of control of a vehicle. Not serious. But she missed her trial date and now she has a warrent for arrest. However a police officer released the information to one of her brother's friends. Now if I am correct they are not allowed to release that information. Is there anything i can do in this case to decrease the reprecussions or anything? Please respond with haste.

My father drinks in the same bar every night, stumbles to the car and then drives home, no amount of begging will make him stop, my next step is to go to the bar owner and threaten them that I will sue them should be in an accident and die...is this legal to sue in the state of PA? My brother is locked up and has been for 3 months now with felony burglary charges but they haven't indicted him yet. How long will it take before he will be indicted or is it lawful for him to sit in jail until they finally decide they don't have sufficient enough evidence to convict him. Also is there something we can do to speed the process along?

Let's say someone tells you that much of California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas used to be Spanish and later Mexican property, until the US government seized it. Since it was the ancestral homeland of Mexicans for hundreds of years, they have just as much right to live there as Americans, who only obtained it recently through military force.
My question is: how would you respond to someone making such an argument? I am looking for serious, logical answers only. I don't want to hear any snappy remarks like "it was hundreds of years ago so get over it". Please tell me how to respond to this argument intellectually.
