understand so little about other cultures and how other countries with their unique attributes come to be?

One country's democracy is another country's poison. Do not believe me? Look what the US did in Iraq.

I am not saying that dictatorship should return, what will happen to Iraq is ultimately the choice of Iraqis.

Bush said that Gonzales is great leader and that he has super confidence in him. Throughout it seemed that the only person to praise Gonzales was the president himself. Then why would he resign if he has the president's support? Even after resignation, Bush continues praising Gonzales heavily. How come?

French President Nicolas Sarkozy said on Monday a diplomatic push by the world's powers to rein in Tehran's nuclear program was the only alternative to "an Iranian bomb or the bombing of Iran."

In his first major foreign policy speech, Sarkozy emphasized his existing foreign policy priorities, such as opposing Turkish membership of the European Union and pushing for a new Mediterranean Union that he hopes will include Ankara.

We are at war with TERRORISM (supposedly)while we have unsecured border with country that wants to take over large swaths of the U.S?
If Anybody has motivation to perpetrate terrorist attack on U.S it is MEXICO.

EL QAEDA

Why do people who are perfectly responsible and law-abiding otherwise think it's just okay to go 20 MPH over the speed limit every time they get in their cars?

Most of the time when I'm on the freeway with my cruise control set at whatever the speed limit is on that particular stretch, and I come up on a slower-moving vehicle, I'd like to pass but I can't because there's somebody coming up in my mirror at roughly Mach 2.

I deliver pizzas for a living, and I, with my Domino's topper, am the slowest-moving driver on the road because I'm the only one GOING THE SPEED LIMIT. I'm really tired of getting nasty looks from people who are BREAKING THE LAW. I guess, too, not only do they not realize that their flesh and bones are nothing against crushing metal and flying glass, and that mine aren't either. I'm tired of being put in danger by people who don't care.

Why do we have to put up with this? The cops can't be everywhere at once, and they're demonized for writing tickets as it is.

My military advisors (my dad, and two grandpas) were discussing the recent crash and this is their conclusion. I need confirmation before I take action. (lol lol) Their expertise stems from my dad's service as a Marine where he attained the rank of corporal. my grandpa who saw combat in Vietnam and attained the rank of Specialist( but due to a "problem" lol lol left as a Private First Class, and my other grandpa who was a war protestor during the Vietnam War. My "experts" said that the pilot should have known that the helicopter needed maintenance and refused to fly it. The men should have stayed on the ground and waited for another helicopter to become free to take them back. My "experts" said that the men could have set up a temporary defensive perimeter (fight position? I think my dad characterized it that way?). Also they said that the command staff should never have put troops on a mission if they did not have adequate air support or scale back the mission to reflect the spt.

Antibiotics started in mainstream use in the 50s. Almost two decades later, when scientists started to warn about them losing their effectiveness, they were ridiculed and attempts made to discredit their warnings. Only when most antibiotics have become useless has it become apparent that they were correct. Why do you suppose humans wait until it is too late to do something?

Now, considering most antibiotics have lost their effectiveness scientists are worried about outbreaks of reemerging infectuous diseases being unable to be controlled, and causing large outbreaks that may lead to worldwide pandemics. Who here believes they are immune to true pathogens enough, to walk among the infected and not become ill?

Considering the possible scenarios above, how fast do you think illness will spread while so many people lack access to health care?

If these scenarios did come about, how much would it be worth to you, to be able to leave your home, without worrying about becoming ill?

"I would rather fight them overseas than here at home......"
you know how to not have to fight them here?
Have the CIA and the FBI and the INS and the Customs people start doing their jobs.
Secure borders would be helpful(to keep EL Queda
out).
Won't have to fight them here...IF WE DON'T LET THEM IN.
here is classic example of government DERELICTION
Six months after Sept. 11, hijackers' visa approval letters received

They approved MOHAMMED ATTAS student VISA six months after his death.

Five different presidents have tried to get universial health care in america.

Truman, Johnson, Nixon, Carter and Clinton.

They all had Democratic Controlled Congress's.

So why did it fail each time ?

Why was it not allowed out of Committee to be voted on each time?

Doesn't the party that controll's Congress, control what Bills get out of Committee ?

Something fishy is going on here.

California's at will policy seems to be a win win situation. But is it? Sure for the workers you can leave an establishment with out notice and your boss can let you go with out notice. Lets say that you were the hardest worker there and then the boss just decides to let you go with out notice . Now you have a family and bills to feed and pay and all the boss tells you is that it is all about the At Will policy. When asking what did you do wong they said nothing you are the hardest worker here. Confused you recive your last check and well you're on your way home to try and explain this one to your family, friends and your debtors. Now I can see that yes this policy is necisarry for those who are not responsible and /or reliable but what about those who are and loved there jobs? What if tomarrow you woke up to a call saying come to the office to get your last check?! You work hard and you know with out a shaddow of a doubt that you did nothing wrong would this policy be acceptable?
