My friend invested all of her money in buying her parents a home in Nanjing, China. She has lived in the U.S. for 8 years and is now a citizen. The government razed her house in the middle of the night a couple of days ago. The reason was that the property value was high and they just took it. Are there any support groups for Chinese Americans that have gone through this? What course of action can she take?

Why is it OK for people to believe that all illegals are Mexican. Or that all Latinos living in the US are illegal? This is just plain stupid. Only about half of them come from Mexico yet whenever some one talks about illegal immigration you rarely ever hear anyone speaking about any other country besides Mexico. Heck not too long ago a there was a Black illegal from Brazil on this forum and I clearly remember another White illegal from Poland. There is nothing that I find more irritating than ignorance to basic facts.

II think I had a run in with a potential serial killer today. I was at work and this man came in and bought a lot of stuff and asked me if I could 'deliver' his purchases seeing as he has no means of transportation. No big deal right? We live in a small town , so I figuired it would be ok. Well I get to his house and He asks if I can pull around back....ok.........I do and I pop the trunk and start getting his bags.......I walk up to the door to help and I have never seen anything like it in my life. I cant even begin to tell you what I saw???? He had magazines and stacks of papers all over his floor where you wouldnt even be able to walk. He had little scraps of papers and news clippings all over his walls. He said he is an artist .....his 'art' was little clipping and red marker scribbled all on his 'art'. His entire walls were covered in this 'art' and clippings . I have never seen anything like it in my life. Then he asks if would like some of his 'art' and If I have a boyfriend ?

I think the answer has to be Hillary Clinton, but I would be happy to listen to her supporters explain why I am wrong. But it seems to me that the Republicans are more demoralized and discredited than they have ever been in my lifetime. And the one candidate that can breathe the most life into the dying corpse of the Republican party is Hillary Clinton. She could well get elected, but the backlash she will create will be incredible. So my question is, why would the Democrats want that? Do they have a death wish?

Every American tax payer will have to fund such an institution. So its not free.

Does it really work in other contries or do people have to wait for long periods of time for delivery of healthcare?

Why should a doctor not be paid a salary comparable to corporate executives? They did go to school for long periods of time to keep you healthly and to save lives, why don't we respect that kind of devotion?

Why have I seen uninsured people driving luxury cars instead of paying for health insurance?

I understand there are underprivilaged people who need coverage...don't we already have medicaid?

Listen to my question I posted: These downloads dont work for my sims 2 game. And now listen to his answer: Go out and buy the game. Dont download because it is illegal and you just got caught.I know your yahoo name. You will receive a letter for a court date soon. See you in court. Meaning he thought I illegally downloaded the game wich I did not. Also I am 13 so he is harming a minor please help me and clear this up! Can he figure out my info from my username? Do you really think I will recieve a letter in my mailbox for a court scentence? Can I just throw it away because I am a minor? I mean do you think he will find where I live ever? He probably lives in a random state and never find were I am.

Do you think that perhaps some sort of personality test or evaluative interview would be better than age limits at determining things like:

Who can get a drivers liscence?
Who can vote?
Who can legally consent to sex?
Who can buy legally buy alcohol/tobacco?
Who can see R rated movies or adult videos?
Who can join the military?
and so on...

Or do you think an age limit for these things is the best policy?

i'm in the process of applying to become a deputy sheriff in my county and had questions about if i DON'T get in.

let's say they don't want me because of a few things in my background. is this going to blacklist me from any other agencies? how about if i wanted to work for the department but as a civilian, do you think that would hurt my chances?

if i don't get in i was thinking of pursuing a criminal just degree. would that help?
