a friend of mine got in an accident. She ran into a telephone pole ad got cited for loss of control of a vehicle. Not serious. But she missed her trial date and now she has a warrent for arrest. However a police officer released the information to one of her brother's friends. Now if I am correct they are not allowed to release that information. Is there anything i can do in this case to decrease the reprecussions or anything? Please respond with haste.

Not knowing where you are ( city ) I would say that the police officer was just trying to locate your friend hence the release of information. I would advise your friend to turn herself in voluntarily thus decreasing the chances of a scene if she is picked up on the street. Also make sure she has an attorney.

Since they were asking your friend's brother, I would assume that they were only trying to locate your friend to serve the warrant and arrest her. I would advise her to turn herself in and hopefully she will get a less severe punishment.
