It's hard watching debates and getting to really see a candidate when there are so many of them and they each have approximately 30 seconds to respond. It also causes people to sit around and not make up their mind, because they rest their decision upon the masses.

When should someone who has never received more than 3% of the votes anywhere, or someone who has experience a major fall with no hope of getting back up, step down and throw their support behind someone else? Should that never occur, because anyone who wants to run should be allowed to? I'm not sure where I really stand on this, but thought I would see what others had to say.

Ron Paul is polling in the single digits nationally, but has broad support here. Rudy Giuliani leads in the latest Rasmussen polls, but it's hard to find a support around here. Same with Hillary Clinton. Why the disparity?

The Laffer curve principal states that at some point, tax cuts will actually reduce total gross revenues. How do you determine that point and how do you know we currently are not below that point (meaning we could raise more taxes by tax increases).

My personal belief is that we are still well above where that point is and that we could reduce taxes significantly more and still take in more gross revenues, but I have no idea at what point it would start creating less and I am wondering if any of you do.

After the U.S. and Australia left Vietnam, millions of people in the area were killed. And more than 5 million people were became fugees.

Also, because of decline in troop strength in Vietnam, Americans were under heavy attack before the fall of Saigon.

If America leaves Iraq, then at least over 1 million people will die and Iraq will become an terrorist run Islamic state. Al-Qaeda's goal is to be in charge of Iraq.

I know the illegal alien excuse makers love to lie about how much illegals contribute to society, but can anyone tell me what she has done that is worthy of her staying in this country, after illegally entering at least two times, being deported twice, and stealing another person's identity to get a job?

And to Arellano: hey lady, if you don't want to be separated from your child, then take him with you. Are things really THAT bad in Mexico? Seems that there are still Mexicans in Mexico (even if half of them are now in Arizona)

Brown and his ilk have long preached that "Religion is the Opium of the People"
SO! Why do we suddenly have to do whatever these Muzzies want.
Muslims were Imperialists for 300 years before the British! So, why does nobody criticise THEM
Why are a bunch of village lads criticised for putting on "Fancy Dress"?
When Queers can prance about dressed as NUNS with stockings and suspenders!
Islam preaches "The Fire and the Sword" to build its Empire!
It preaches against "Homosexuals"
Why doesn't the Government DO SOMETHING?

Why don't the Gays go into the Mosques and interrupt these "Homophobic Bigots"
As they do in Christian Churches?

Is Brown "hanging back" till he passes a law which says "You can Slag Off every Religion except Islam" That'll get the Imams to tell their brain-washed Zombies where to put their X on the ballot paper.

That a lot of people in the U.S. are willing to tuck their tail between their legs and scurry out of Iraq. Does just giving up on somthing we have spent so much on, and letting terrorists take the victory sit fine with them. It doesnt matter If you believe "Bush Lied" (not even going to get into why thats a load of crap) We gave our word that we would rebuild Iraq, and I hope we see that through.

Many people talk about how the world has lost respect for the U.S. Do you really believe that quitting, surendering, whatever you want to call it, will build back that respect. Nobody respects a quiter.

I encourage my wife to maintain her friends she acquired before our marriage; Just as long as they remain - Positive. However, there is one particular friend that is beginning to dig under my skin. My wife experienced an abusive relationship with her ex husband; It was bad enough for the courts to place a restraining order against him for the next 3 years. This "RO" will expire in November and I suggested that it be extended or a new one issued. Well, it is my wife's friend that suggest she not do this because she feels that it will put a strain on the relationship between her and her son that he acquired custody of after a series of threats. This guy is a certified jerk - he now resides with my wife's former best friend and brides maid. My question to you - do you believe an abusive man can be rehabilitated?

Does free speech only apply when you are rallying behind Israel as they kill Palestinians?

These violent gangs have all but ruined Los Angeles and god knows how many other cities. When will we, as a nation, finally stop having pity on people who CHOOSE to affiliate themselves with these groups and hold them responsible for being involved in a terrorist organization? We would not show sympathy for someone involved with Al-Qaida, so why do we tolerate the same behavior from these people that are involved in organizations that destroy American lifes every day?

My Mother in law has been living in our home for 2 years now, and I feel like I am pushed aside most of the time. Since she has been here, me husband has changed dramatically and I am really considering in leaving, but stuck because I am 7 months pregnant. She came her from Colombia on a tourist visa, but that has expired about 1 and a half year ago. I need some ideas on what I can do to get her to move out. She is totally dependant on her son, and she was dependent on him when she lived in Colombia. My husband sent her 150.00 a month for her rent, and didn't work there or nothing. Now she is working here, not paying for bills, food, or the mortgage. Her money goes to all the phone cards she buys to talk to her boyfriend in Colombia, and she sends all her money to her BF and dad down there. I look at her bank statements and she has overdraft fees left and right. I really want her out of my home, so that I feel that I am a part of this family. Please help me....

Elvira Arellano, an illegal immigrant was holed up in a church for a year to avoid deportation (even though officials could have came in the church and arrested her.) She ANNOUNCED that she was going to LA to participate in an immigration rally where after she made a speech, she was promptly arrested and deported back to Mexico, leaving behind her young American-born son.

Here is what she said:

“They were in a hurry to deport me because they saw that I was threatening to mobilize and organize the people to fight for legalization. I have a fighting spirit and I’m going to continue fighting.”

Now people are fighting and DEMANDING that they be allowed to break the law?
No, I am not a racist who is against immigrants. I am against ILLEGAL immigration.

This article says that in 1998, Clinton acknowledged that Iraq had WMDs. Can anyone accurately tell me why this has nothing to do with the current Iraq War? I can tell you right now that it doesn't, but many people claim it does, or that "Clinton agreed with Bush that Iraq had WMDs" or "See, Clinton lied too".

Can you tell me why these statements don't make sense? If you ask nicely, I will tell you.

I recently received a letter from an acquaintance accusing me of waiting and watching her shopping; she put this down to an 'adolescent crush'. I am in my 60s and she nearly 70 and these allegations, for which she provides no evidence or witnesses, are unfounded. I reported the letter to my local police station. Action seemed called for because she threatened, if the 'behaviour' continued, to report me to my employeer. (I am a university lecturer.) The police gave me a Criminal Intelligence number for future reference. Today another letter arrived from this person, charging me with various character-defects including 'extreme callousness'. I find this frankly a nuisance. I have had no contact with this person from my own side for over two years and just want to be left alone.

Is there a legal remedy ? Are we dealing with harassment, anti-social behaviour - or what ? I don't want to suggest the wrong offence to the police. Any informed suggestions or advice would be welcome.
