Only an idiot would defend himself. My sole goal in life is to convict defendants. I'm quite good at it. That's why I do it for a living. Trust me when I say you don't want to go up against an attorney if your freedom depends on it. You may think that the facts will win out if you "just tell the court" but I guarantee that you'll get beat up by the prosecution and never know it. It's also likely that if you had an attorney, you could defend yourself with motions and get discovery. Only an attorney would know what motions to file and what to do to get your case dismissed.

I use to live in Harris County, TX. Court cost use to vary with each case. They didn't have a set menu with fixed amounts on it.

You might try contacting the Clerk of the Court your interested in and I'm sure you'll get more information.

Try ask.com or Google.com and type in "Harris County Texas, Clerk of the County Court". You'll have everything you need.

Depends entirely on the charge you are going to court on.

Contact the Clerk of Courts Office and they can give you an exact schedule of court costs for findings of guilt.

Call your district court. The amount should be published. Of course it could escalte depending on how long the trial lasts and wether or not you are going to a jury trial...
