chance of fighting in iraq? (do they even fight in iraq?) and how many navy sailors do we have in iraq at this time??

MA Great work. (if you want be a police officer)
Fighting in Iraq minimal
Going to Iraq 50-50
Currently about 2000 Navy personnel are in Iraq
0 are in combat operations. (Maybe the SEALS but they aren't a statistic)
The Navy does not send sailors into combat because you are not trained in combat. A sailor is given weapons training to defend themselves in a worse case scenario but they do NOT actively engage in combat. Basically you go to Iraq and do your job. You do not go to play soldier.

unsure of the number of sailors in iraq. however if they are deployed over there they would mostly stay on the boats and hide if they heard shots. except for the special operations/unconventional warfare i dont much like the navy.

bush is sending everyone else there so why not throw in the navy somehow unsure of any in iraq and my uncle served in the navy for life you get the ones who are in other branches and say navy sux army sux etc but you are out there dying for us fighting a war that should never be

plenty of MAs in Iraq. also several in GITMO and Afghanistan too.
