"Corporations have long insisted that globalization delivers prosperity. But a report commissioned by the Financial Services Forum, an association of CEOs of 20 major financial firms, admits that most benefits have gone to a select few. International operations increasingly account for most sales and business conducted by multinational firms, writes David Wessel for the Wall Street Journal. But workers in developed nations have increasing job insecurity. If benefits bypass ordinary workers, resentment could prompt US legislators to restrict international trade. A huge income gap is unnecessary for the US: The report recommends higher taxes for those gaining the most from globalization, protecting the tax base in communities facing factory closures, and a guarantee of health care and training opportunities for all workers.

Charles Martel pushes back the muslim hordes and saves freedom for the future

George W. Bush joins the pantheon of heros by calling for the destruction of just the latest threat from Persia and it's satreps.

Think about it, that area, Islam or no has hated freedom for thousands of years. Islam is just the latest something they get to be a slave to.

i want to be a doctor. i mean go all the way. i want to be able to treat any person that comes through the door of the hospital. however, finacially, i can't afford to go 8+ years of only college. i know i can get loans but then there would the whole problem of having to pay them and interest etc. i hear that if you join the military, they will pay for your college. well, i don't want to do any of the training and push ups and hard training. i just want to go to school. im not trying to sound like a spoiled brat when i say that either. please don't take that the wrong way. i am trying to be as sincere as i can be.

so if i did join the military, would i have to do all the push ups, sit ups, etc?

thank you. and again, im not trying to be a spoiled brat because God knows im no where close to being spoiled.

thank you again :)

My business law professor used to say, "Neither officer, director, nor major shareholder shall I be." I recall officers, board of directors and major shareholders can be held personally liable for their actions in a corporation. Any truth to that?

After all, every war has been conducted by mar mongers, right?

So why do the warmongers think they have the high moral ground, when they are nothing but common murderers....at least in my clear thinking pessimistic way of thinking about it. In my view, the terrorists and the US Army...all the same.

It is quite clear that Leo Strauss's Neo-con nightmare is coming true......WAKE UP AMERICA.

Can't you see that we are in a dictatorship? The supposed fact that you *THINK* that you are reading free speech here...is a facade. It is really caused by the chip.

How can you doubt me...never mind that I do not live in the US.... Google Presidential Executive Orders, read them, discuss them and you will see that freedom is now a facade. After all, any clear thinking pessimist like me can list all the freedoms that are lost. Hell, I can declare that I have lost freedom, and I don't even need to provide a list. Google it yourself.

I see deputy sheriffs contracting with cities using police on the side of their cars and on their patches when they are deputies. I see federal agents wearing police raid gear. I see state dmv investigators wearing police jackets. I know mainly people hear police and they think of municipal police forces. However, there are community college police, university police, campus police, school police, Los Angeles County Police, Veterans Police, Mint Police, Bureau of Land Management Rangers who wear police on their shirts. So I guess police is the overall name for all of these law enforcement officers. Heck, the other day on the news there was a district attorney investigator with a police shirt on. Can this be done.
