A while back some democrat had a question on yahoo answers with something about how could they get us to trust them more. This morning I saw on the news a new bill for government paid health plan that would pay for illegal's health care & kick out about 2 million American seniors. No more than 2 min later, some dem has the gall to say about the victims of the Min bridge collapse "they were almost victims of the war" & how "we are spending so much $ on the war that we cannot afford to repair the bridges". I don't trust them because of things just like this, exploiting a bad situation, not watching out for seniors & wanting to use my hard earned tax dollars for people that shouldn't even be here. I have no problem with people coming to this country the right way, but not sneaking over the border. Do you trust democrats with your money? your safety? your country? Do you trust democrats, because I don't. I find them repugnant & cannot believe how condescending they are.

Can't seem to find a straight answer in the news on what exactly the argument was about. I'd like to know what was it that the Republicans wanted changed in the bill and why the Democrats didn't want to listen - or at least Michael McNulty didn't want to listen.

Conservatives don't seem to be bothered by the civilian casualites in Iraq. Or they tend to think it doesnt matter because they were killed by people of their own country when the fact is, we started it.

People are dying because of us being over there, plain and simple. Why does a muslim dying not bother you?

Throughout history, a soldiers duty has been to fight. If you become a soldier, that means you obey what your government tells you. If you were drafted that's one thing, protest till you're blue in the face. A soldier is the servant of the ruling body.

I am sick and tired of the constant liberal bashing around here. I'd like to share something about my predominately Liberal/Independent family.

1. We support our troops. The only reason you say we don't is because your political party tells you to feel that way. Every Liberal or Independent I know, supports our hardworking men and women overseas. Your accusations are full of cold hearted ignorance, hate, and bigotry which seem to be predominant ideals fed to you by your political party.

2. I do NOT agree with everything Liberals and Independents say---I have my OWN mind, and I use it. You neocons might want to try that sometime. You don't have to agree and nod like a zombie because a political party (or religious sect) tells you to.

Quit bashing Liberals, Democrats, Hippies, Environmentalists, Scientists, Catholics, Pagans and EVERYONE else for 2 seconds and look in a mirror. Ask yourself WHY you feel the need to harbor so much hate for people you don't even know.

Any marines out there pleas help!! i want to defend this country with honor and if i do join any service it wil be marines beacuse there are elite and first to fight. but the thing is im not that big(strong and fit). but im only 15 so i have time i guess, and also i want to go to collage so probably marines resrev,(whats that like?) my dream is to be a sniper. what would any of you marines suggest? also i am a middle eastern person but i have lived here my whole life.

Personally I Think we could actually get stuff done.

Govt. Spending would be cut by 2/3rds

Unfortunately Weed would be legalized, (Oh god, We'll have to live in a country where people can use a cheap effective harmless medicine)

The war would end.

And basically about 90% of our problems would be solved.

So, what do you think would happen, I want to hear all sides of the argument, what if, somehow a libertarian majority was elected to both the house and the Senate.

PS. Please Don't just give a shout out for Libertarians, I want to hear real answers.

The most valued resource that there is, is known by economists to be the human resource. The immigration of millions in the past and the present have made the USA the richest and most poerful nation of the world. Althought, Alan Greenspan once said, we need more immigrant workers, we are turning around the equation, by the deportation of immigrants workers. Including, those that are already established, and who had created family and huge capitals. Deporting immigrant is creating a collapse in the housing market in the USA already, it could be followed by a collapse in the retail market in the big cities.

I want to make a health directive and/or living will should I become unable to make decisions. My family would make completely different choices and ignore my wishes except for one sister. I would list this sister as a person to make decisions, but what if we both were injured in a car accident and unable to make decisions? Is there a way to file a health directive that does not involve family members?

Education - The quality of public education in United States is much lower than that of Europe, in fact it is lower than many developing third world countries. US High School students are much less aware of the world history and politics, have lower mathematical and scientific skills, possess lower reasoning and judgement capabilities than European students of the same age. Universities are prohibitively expensive, the better the university, the more expensive it is. Students are often immersed on a lifelong burden of debt or get wiped out of all savings for an average college degree which costs a fraction in European countries or is free as in case of countries like Germany.

Healthcare - In the United States it is common for a hospital to refuse to treat a critically ill patient if they are not insured or are not US citizens. In Europe such a concept is considered ancient and uncivilised. In the US, doctors sometimes refuse to treat or prescribe the right options to a patient if the doctor’s religious beliefs go against what is medically best for the patient. It happens most often in cases of abortion, birth control and treating homosexuals where the doctors’ medical ethics conflict with their religious beliefs. Such an act in Europe would lead to cancellation of a doctor’s license to practice for violation of the Hippocratic Oath.

Why do u criticize Bush for the war when:
1. many of the terrorist involved in 9/11 were Iraqis or had a friend or a relative living there
2. Iraq did have WMD, we have found them all
3. Hussein and Osama used to hang out together
4. We are now highly respected all around the world for liberating the Iraqis.
