I am sick and tired of the constant liberal bashing around here. I'd like to share something about my predominately Liberal/Independent family.

1. We support our troops. The only reason you say we don't is because your political party tells you to feel that way. Every Liberal or Independent I know, supports our hardworking men and women overseas. Your accusations are full of cold hearted ignorance, hate, and bigotry which seem to be predominant ideals fed to you by your political party.

2. I do NOT agree with everything Liberals and Independents say---I have my OWN mind, and I use it. You neocons might want to try that sometime. You don't have to agree and nod like a zombie because a political party (or religious sect) tells you to.

Quit bashing Liberals, Democrats, Hippies, Environmentalists, Scientists, Catholics, Pagans and EVERYONE else for 2 seconds and look in a mirror. Ask yourself WHY you feel the need to harbor so much hate for people you don't even know.

To everyone who has said Liberals bash too:

Of course they do, I agree, and I have seen it here on Yahoo Answers. Although, The majority of bashing I have seen has been from Neo-Conservatives. The last four politically themed posts I looked at alone, harbored some hatred or insult towards Libs.

To the poster that I am not the only person to think for myself:

Duh. I know that :) There are plenty of Conservatives who indeed do think for themselves. It seems to be the Neo-Conservatives who have issues with that, either due to religion or political party blind loyalty.

To the poster who told me to get out of the kitchen:

Oh, I can take the heat, LOL. I have fought many a politcal and religious battle on these boards. But sometimes it's tiring and disheartening, no?

With the exception of a couple of you, I have got some really great answers. Thank you all, so far :)

Contrary to some opinions on here, I am open to all viewpoints. Slew, for example, gave me an EXCELLENT answer, but he certianly didn't agree with what I said.

And yes, I am guilty, out of passion of defense for using some terms that could be considered antaginistic. If you want an apology for that, I give you one heartily. My sentiment still stands though, and I am interested in thoughtful answers (of which I have recieved quite a few).

Thank you for that, I was taught to think critically at a young age my dad, was a WW2 age right wing Lawyer I was given tests on the founding fathers and constitution while we drove on trips like a trivia game. I think for a living as well as do, I troubleshoot and resolve problems. Now it seems that I'm a despicable liberal moonbat etc. because my experience tells me not to trust politicians right or left without question. and if they refuse to answer questions, then they are spitting on the Constitution, which makes the people the final judge of government. Citizenship is a responsibility and we are the ones to make the final decisions because our children fight the wars we pay for the costs. I go through life awake and engaged in the struggle everyday, if that makes me a liberal moonbat, Viva La Moonbats!

Do liberals "hate democracy" when it goes against them MORE THAN ANYONE ELSE, you mean? No. I don't think so. We all seem to love to play by the rules -- when the rules favor us. But if not -- not. Can't imagine liberals are any more hypocritical in this way than anyone else. I think you may have a valid point about the reaction by gay marriage activists against the Colorado and NC votes, however. Of course, if North Carolina has a political right to vote against gay marriage, it's only fair that gay marriage advocates have a right to call for a boycott of NC. "What's sauce for the goose" and all that. As for whether NC is "bigoted" .. I can't say, But the last time I visited the state in about 1979, it was to protest against the Ku Klux Klan shooting and killing some rather stupid leftwing extremists down there. At the time of the Klan shootings, NC didn't seem like a hotbed of racial & religious toleration, somehow. I hope y'all have changed since then.

It's not people like you we pick on.

Come on, you've been around Yahoo Answers. There are lots of libs here who think the Republicans are just the lowest form of life. Dumb hillbillies who do nothing but watch NASCAR (and Fox News during commercials) while cleaning our guns. Several of those libs answered your message.

We pick on the liberals who seem gleeful that America is failing because that means Bush is failing. Look at the answers here on this board. Why are so many liberals anxious for us to be defeated in Iraq? How can they "support the troops" when the accuse the troops of torture?

I have yet to find a liberal on YA that actually proposes anything resembling a solution to succeed at anything, other than impeaching Bush.

Go to sites like www.thedailykos.com, www.democratunderground.com, and www.worldcantwait.net for the type of libs we pick on. Those are the type that mostly post here on YA.

Seven users today went on a huge rant about how foul, ignorant, mean, stupid, idiotic, dumb, vile, and malicious (to name a few) "All the cons are" and railed on anything they said regardless of breaking Y!A TOS, regardless of tossing loads of criticism and regardless of taking other people's feelings into consideration (dead people - as in the case of the MN bridge collapsing)...

So I can only see HALF of your point. However I agree.

Your sentiment can be reversed to lump all liberals, Democrats, Hippies, Environmentalists, Scientists, Catholics, Pagans and EVERYONE else together into one Conservative Hate Machine too. Why don't we all just stop making broad generalizations about individuals?

Hate has made you strong. Join me young Calliope, and we can rule the world together.

Calm down, because you are becoming part of the machine.
By attacking the Neocons, you are acting like one. I hate them too, because I'm a Republican and they call me {gasp} a liberal. Just make fun of all those who thrive on hate. If you bash at others people will retaliate.

1.) Horse puckey...Harry Reid unilateraly declaring surrender is supporting our troops? how??? 36000 carded requests for unrelated pork tied to the iraq bill is supporting our troops...HOW???....THIS ISNT IGNORANCE...ITS FACT...Harry Reid doing an all nighter and then violating his own roll call for grandstanding is supporting our troops.??? how??? you lose on that one.

2.) Its not the point whether you agree or disagree. You can disagree with a policy but by calling yourself a liberal your giving credence to this type of thinking. Right now, its dangerous and foolhardy. Al qaeda and Jihad could care less about your poltics, they want you dead. When Harry Reid gives them a surrender date and says well all hold hands and rebuild iraq, several people have told him it wont work. Bob Gates put it best...its foolhardy and emboldens the enemy..there is no middle ground..STAND OR FALL..ITS JUST THAT SIMPLE.
and if you wonder why it angers conservatives, look at the leadership results of the clintons last tenure in the white house....the sad and sick part of this deal is more than a few of your cohorts are willing to give them a total pass and invite them back. to me character is still character and frankly i know what is....is.

Always be proud to be a liberal for the historical record hows clearly that it has been liberal ideology that has moved this world forward for millenia while conservatism which in fact is all about keeping the STATUS QUO have a repugnant racist history.

In fact the poster child representing many conservatives is SENATOR VITTERS as he embodies the monumental hypocricy, double standards of those holier-than-thou ,pontificating ,sanctimonious conservatives and attest to their lying (remember Iraq was responsible for 9/11 and Iraq had WMDs) morally bankrupcy .

Of course the conservatives NEVER would think of doing anything like that would they? They are all perfect little angels. NOT.

Come on sweetie. Get real. Both sides do it. If you are sick of it than get off YA because it isn't going to stop. If you can't stand the heat, said Harry Truman, get out of the kitchen.

The liberal hate machine can never be stopped. Right-wingers need a devil to blame and an infidel to persecute, or they lose direction and aren't as easily controlled by their leaders.
That is why they denounce their more moderate conservative counterparts, as liberals. Same thing we see in Iraq, as the religious zealots denounce everyone who don't share their extremism, as agents of America.
Do yourself a favor....ignore the fringes, unless you get a chance to point out to them how ridiculous they sound, in a sensible way.
