I understand that his dad is Muslim, and that his background was at least partly Muslim, but that does NOT mean that he is a front for bin Ladin. However, people who should know better are buying into this. What is your opinion of this? Community Guidelines, please.

When you get down to it, every religion says others will suffer because they don't believe and accept their ways.

Its all a matter of placing a bet on how you will end up spending eternity. Since that is a end of life decision, I am more interested in how a candidate is acting in the here and now. Mr. Obama seems to act and speak with honor and conviction.

Time will tell, but I do long for a President that will bring pride back to all my fellow citizens. I an so weary of being embarrassed by our White House.

Frankly I don't think we can afford to take risky moves in the process of democracy and freedom , we learn by questioning, probing, searching for the real answers. I just don't feel comfortable with Barak Obama, I am growing more concerned with the level of dissatisfaction the word Muslim conjures up in peoples minds. By that I will pay more attention to the background of all the candidates. Who knows who is a front for Bin Ladin and the likes of him, he is a dangerous person to everyone and has a very large and yet unknown following. He's insane and his goal in life is not the same as the majority.

My opinion is that he has Muslim ties, by his own admission in his own book (1st book). He states that his father and grand-father are/were Muslim and he states that he attended Muslim prayer meetings where he lived in Indonesia. He also supported a Muslim Senator to swear in on the Koran last January in a private ceremoney (I wrote him a letter and asked if he supported this or not). He said that there is no religious test to being either Senator or President of the United States.

It's a good thing he's Muslim. If he was a true Christian the Lib's would hate him. Dont worry about it any way. George Soros will decide who the next Demecratic front runner is.

Personally if it is such a secret why is it all over something like the Internet - isn't that defeating the "secret"?

Secondly, I don't care what religion someone is, we are each entitled to believe what we want, and follow that religion. What I don't want is for anyone to try and push their beliefs on to me or my family.

It's also all over the internet that the WTC was a controlled demolition, a missle hit the Pentagon, and Flight 93 was shot down by the Air force.

"All over the internet" seems to equal "completely baseless supposition by crazy people."

That's just political propaganda starting early.
I wish everyone would only vote for candidates that didn't engage in mud slinging

It's funny- they don't really have any problems with his political background, his public speaking abilities, his level of charisma, or his policies...
