They want communism because they are communists. Despite all the failures of the communist ideology, they believe in it and feel that it can work if you have the right people in charge. They are the right people in their minds.

Democrats do not want Communism. They could care less what type it is. They just want votes and power. I for one will be glad when they get back in power. The modern left believes that communism or even socialism are the right ways and that the reason they have never been successful (particularly communism) is that the right people werent running the show. Nobody wants communism -- which is a complete ownership of all property by the govt (community). Communism forbids any private ownership of money or property -- nobody wants that.

But the current Democratic leadership is socialist.
