I am really considering the navy, but also want to continue going to college (so that I might be able to go into the officer program later). I am wondering if a person in the navy will be able to also do college while they are in.

If all drugs were legal then we would curb violence in inner cities who's people wage war on each other over territory to sell drugs .

If people bought hammers and began beating their fingers with them I am sure a ban on hammers would happen .

Why is it we ban things that are bad instead of educating people not to .

Seems we have two major products that are legal ,smoking and booze that are real killers .

Its hard to tell people that drugs are killing people when you have legal products doing the same thing .

Does alcohol really want to compete against pot . Does coffee want to compete against cocaine .
The problem when these laws got written is no lobby to protect them existed .

I see a huge difference with something being legal and advocating people using it .

By making it all legal you would eliminate gangs and the need for 1 million prison beds violent crime would go down and police could pursue and watch real criminals .

Why do people fail to see the logic .

WASHINGTON (CNN) –Sen. Barack Obama says he would shift the war on terror to Afghanistan and Pakistan in a speech he delivered Wednesday.

In his speech, Obama, D-Illinois, said things would look different in an Obama administration: “When I am president, we will wage the war that has to be won, with a comprehensive strategy with five elements: getting out of Iraq and on the right battlefield in Afghanistan and Pakistan

1) You can't speak certain words(like the N word) or express opinions about something you find wrong(like gay marriage) without being labeled and sued

2) They tell you how to run your business such as letting people who do certain things in your establishment or telling cooks of restaurants how to cook by eliminating popular, non-dangerous, ingredients.

3) Want to outlaw things for your own good instead of being free to make your own decisions(guns, cigarettes,...).

4) Take your money to do as they see fit.

what country is George Bush the president of?. He and his administration seem to be he-l bent on doing everything they can possibly think of to destroy the American worker and the middle class, precisely what made this country great in the first place, from give away the store trade deals to doing everything it can think of to promote illegal immigration to doing everything it can to screw up Iraq, to just new things every time I turn on the news. I want to know what country he's the president
of, because he can't possibly be the president of the U.S.

How many times have democrats made promises they never keep. They promised the voters that we would get out of Iraq. As usual, Democrats will tell you what you want to hear, and then they get in power and don’t do what they promised. I follow everything the Dems say to get elected and then I do my research. One of many things they have lied about is the middleclass is shrinking, big lie just got to the US census bureau and you’ll see it’s not true. The facts on the uninsured is not represented correctly, most can afford insurance they just don’t want it. How many people don’t have car insurance, I bet that number is higher. Saying the rich get richer and the poor get poorer, that’s BS too. You can look that up at U.S. Department of Labor and US Census.

I was not in the court room but was asked to wait in the hall by my husbands attorney. when court was over everyone came out and informed me that the Judge had placed the kids in my care and that i was to supervise both parents when around the kids or when either one of them was on the phone. But I don't understand why he choose me the stepmom over maybe someone who does it for a living. and why? How do you feel about Iraq being split into separate Kurdish, Sunni and Shiite states? I think it would stop alot of the violence and let these people have their own sovereign nations. Your thoughts?...

This seems like yet another issue on which we're doing more harm than good simply because somebody wanted "us" to "do something" and thereby feel better about ourselves.

Has anyone even looked into this?

If you disagree please explain how / why.

Yes there is debt and there is contributed capital but debt is expected to be repaid - with .... earnings. And contributed capital is, while risk capital, invested with the objective of a return - achieved through earnings. And the contributed capital and debt itself is simply the earnings of a third party or firm being invested.

This is not to be confused with MONEY. MONEY is not capital. Money is currency - it is meant to represent capital being spent / invested. Its worth, in the long run, is entirely a function of the government's willingness and ability to pay the note - - ability meaning ultimately no matter how many notes you print they're worth in total no more than the capital you've generated - in other words, earnings.

Well , then let me ask you something . . . How would you feel if you couldn't walk away or ignore them ? What would you feel like if you HAD TO ask questions and be insulted everyday. . . . on and on and on and on ? What if you 'could not' quit ?
I'm speaking of the President . This man , like his decisions or not , has endured the most hatred that I've ever seen one man take . And he can't walk away . He can't quit .(of course he could , but that's really out of the question considering his dedication) . When he held a joint news conference yesterday with Gordon Brown of Great Britain , I saw him 'back on track' . And I felt for him too . Which one of you is foolish enough to say that you could take a beating like him all day long at your job ? All day , every day , day in and day out . Hate , hate , hate . Ya know , Dick Morris made the comment that Clinton became unable to govern because of the Lewinsky affair and all the attention .

Can you haters give this guy a break ?

Hi! I have a question about domestic violence. Recently my sister got beaten up pretty bad by her boyfriend, and I am wondering how they would determine if this is a felony or a misdemeanor?

The reason I ask is because he beat her up, and she went into court facing a felony, and he was facing only a misdemeanor!!! Well his dad happens to be a judge in the same court and has a history of making his sons felonies go bye-bye. This kid has walked into court three times facing felonies!! And has a perfectly clean record. Just as clean as mine and I have never been arrested!

But that is a little off topic. I want to know what information is used in a physical domestic dispute to determine if it is a felony or misdemeanor. Please cite your sources.

And if you happen to know who I can write to about the corruption being investigated that would be appreciated too. Thanks.
