The Government can be blamed for allot of things. But the government is not forcing every American to feed their faces full of fatty junk food and telling them to NOT exercise. We all have choices to make and to blame the government for fat Americans is like blaming the hippies for your kids being on drugs. Take responsibility for you own actions!!!

For anyone who is obese that blames anyone other then themselves for being obese is in denial. If you are fat, you made yourself fat no one else but you. IF you insist the government takes action on the obese by forcing them to change their lifestyle who will have learned anything. Healthy food is expensive and junk food is cheap if you force the government to make bad food more expensive then no one will be able to afford food period and more will starve. How about lobbying to make healthier foods more access-able to the key groups that inflict themselves with this problem, the only reason healthy food is expensive is demand for the upper middle class health nut. Michigan has this same problem with smoking, one too many Rob Reiners came along and soon there was SIN tax's, can you believe the audacity to even name a tax after a sin, it is things like this that lead to taxation without representation, when government can take the opinion of the majority and rule against a minority based on minority opinion. Obviously that would be democracy over simplified what if all of a sudden white's could single out African Americans because they have the majority vote to tax them more for being black. Blame the real problem, poor habits and the inaffordability of healthy food, not the government.

We just have to find someone to blame for everything wrong in life, instead of actually accepting personal responsibility for it.
Next you are going to say it's the governments' fault you watch obscene programs on TV, because they didn't keep them off the line-up.
Personal choices are what make americans obese, not the government.

In cases where the government enables citizens to park their rumps on the sofa and watch tv...yet get an income (taxpayer funded...I'm thinking welfare checks and unemployment checks...quasi-disability checks), yes, the government should be to blame for people being obese.

Dear oh dear oh dear will people ever stop blaming the ''Government'' on their problems.President Kennedy once said this '' Ask not what your country can do for you ,but what you can do for your country.
So my friend if YOU want to help to do something for your country and help cut the medical bill the tax payers have to fork out ,year in and year out.
STOP STUFFING YOUR FACE OR TELL YOUR FRIENDS TO STOP STUFFING THEIR FACES
simple is'nt it

Bush ate at McDonald's... Caused it all.
Clinton jogged by, stopped, ate, stopped by another, jogged, snitched some fries...
By all means our government is to blame.

Of course it is; and that's why we should elect Queen Hillary the Great - 'cause she's not gonna tolerate the Evil Corporations feeding us unhealthy food FOR ONE MORE MINUTE!
Oh, the horror of it all!
