Accleration of outsouring labor input and output costs would rise a lot, and Mexican labor keeping a lid on wage inflation or else be more outsourcing of jobs overseas. Argiculture is already moving farms to Mexico because of American immigration laws, and it is bad to cut of immigration because some of the most brillant minds to innovate in America came from overseas, and the we look real bad to the world, and wake up people were in 21st century, and 19th century immigration rules will never work, and the American immigration will fail because it is not desinged to intergrate citizens well. Civil intergration test like they have in the nertherlands should be insituted and the top scores would be first picked to apply for a work visa, or marraige visa, and exmept EU, North America from it and Advanced countries, and use that weed out third world that dont accept westernization and its way of life.

What would happen?
1) The nations population would eventually begin to drop at a rate of about 300,000 per year.
2) Labor cost would go up which would drive the development of technology to increase productivity. The net result would be that workers would have to be more skilled, increasing pay, product prices would go down and quality of life would improve.
I don't think that immigration should be stopped completely but it should be limited to sustainable numbers. However, there is NO room for illegal immigration.

Although kiss my legal butt said it best,
the one with the statistics failed to mention the rise in all those he listed concerning the states of LA, MS., AL., FL. & GA! Particularly the southern parts of these states!
There has also been a rise of illegal men stalking, molesting and impregnating American children from age 9 and up. Ain't it bad enough these kids have to worry about home-grown freaks..now they have to fear these illegals (spitting bad taste out of my mouth)
So what would happen ? Our country wouldn't have the economic and ergonomic strain on it and we could finally after many years of healing return to the great country we were...not the pitiful joke we are now! And as I said in another question-that asked about it being in your back yard-I have a pitbull and an array of weapons that my entire family are well versed in using-I'm sick and tired of seeing the s*t going on and the police are pretty much overwhelmed with fighting the drug trafficking, child molestors, ganger wannabe miscreants.

I was told once that Australia didn't allow immigrants to come in to take jobs that Australians could do. I think the U.S. should do the same!

This wouldn't happen anymore. It isn't graphic, it's about the deliberate discrimination against hiring citizens.
