Neither Gore nor Kerry carried a southern state during the 2000
and 2004 presidential elections. To my knowledge, no candidate has won the presidency by losing every southern state.

I keep hearing, from Republicans, that there's a distinction between neo-cons and the far right-wing fundies/fanatics... and the rest of the Republican party.

What are the distinctions? How badly misrepresented are most Republicans by the neo-cons and fundies/fanatics?

I wonder what would happen if our troops just stopped policing Iraq for the month. And you pro-war neo-cons wonder why we want our troops out now. We are giving everything and getting nothing.

and saw another 9/11 conspiracy video. Not surprised by that, but what surprised by how many Bin Laden supporters there are, especially American supporters. It saddened me to say the least. Why do people support such an evil (whether or not he was involved in 9/11) murder who spread hate through the world?

Why don't they just all come out of the closet and asmit their homosexaul tendency's. Clearly if they support it like the war on Iraq is supported by the conservative all conservatives are supposed to fightt in Iraq. So appling the same logic since liberals support homosexaul marriage all liberals are clearly homosexaul. Correct? Applying their logic against them is sweet is it not?

NO. Here's why:

1) We've made it clear that we won't feel right about leaving Iraq until there's civil order in the country. Al Qaeda responds by instigating conflict between Shiite and Sunni that keeps us there. How does this serve the alleged objective of driving us out?

2) Bin Laden's plan is called 'Bleed to Bankruptcy". He feels he siuccessfully used it against the Soviet Union, and it was his design to get us bogged down in a Middle Eastern war, spending tons of money until we collapse as well. We're playing into his hands.

3) Our presence in Iraq is the #1 recruiting inducement for Al Qaeda.

Given that Al Qaeda wants us in Iraq, and it benefits them, the best thing we could do to foil them is to leave. Only Iraqis can bring order to Iraq. Our presence is counterproductive.

And why would amnesty be a good or bad alternative?

I personally think that anyone who says it is, is steryotyping that their are no legal American citizens who are blue collar workers. I personally think that legal blue collar workers won't see a pay raise for years because of all these new illegal immigrants offering to work for half the price. Anyone who knows something about economy can tell you that when theirs a surplus in anything the price goes down. As for a solution to this problem I believe that nothing will happen for a very long time because the owners of the factories that employ illegal workers will just keep on lobying goverment offcials so that nothing will be done so they can keep their cheap source of labor. What's your opinion?

I just don't know how to get the word out other than, standing on the sidewalk with sign, is there a national orginization that maybe, makes donations to certain individuals, to allow them to go out and promote the right that we all have, but little want or care about using. If you don't use it, then you lose it.

Al Qaeda wants to spread Islam around the world.

This would be a good thing for Conservatism. As our masters, they would:

-- Roll back the 5exual Revolution.
-- Purge the sleaze from entertainment.
-- Bring back modesty.
-- Infuse piety in all areas of society.
-- Make America a God-fearing nation.
-- Get the government out of the business of charity
... and leave it to the private sector.
... (No more handouts to welfare slobs!)
-- Silence Liberals.

All of thse are Conservative goals. Making common cause with radical Muslims could make these goals a reality. Plus they'd stop wanting to blow you to pieces. So why not ally with radical Islam TODAY?

you cant say that the war is not going well and ask for changes, but when it comes to voting keep sticking to a failed policy!! Its always so easy to say yes to continuing a war when you are playing with house money (referring to soldier's lives who are not related to you). I am sure if any member of congress in favor of the war in Iraq had children their right now fighting, they would have a totally different view of war. this is why i am in favor of a drasft which treats ALL equally. then politicans and other in favor of war would have to actually sit down and think about their decisions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LAGUNA NIGUEL, Calif. - Al Gore's son pleaded guilty Monday to possessing marijuana and other drugs, but a judge said the plea could be withdrawn and the charges dropped if he successfully completes a drug diversion program.

Authorities have said they found drugs in Al Gore III's car after the 24-year-old was pulled over on July 4 for going 100 mph in his Toyota Prius.

He pleaded guilty to two felony counts of drug possession, two misdemeanor counts of drug possession without a prescription, and one misdemeanor count of marijuana possession, the district attorney's office said.

Jaime Coulter, senior deputy district attorney, said Gore's sentencing will be continued until Feb. 7. If he has complied with all the conditions of the diversion program, the sentencing will be continued again for another year, with charges possibly being dropped in 2009.

"At that point, he will be able to withdraw his guilty plea as if he never entered it," Coulter said.

Joseph Biden, chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and a Democratic presidential candidate, called Wednesday for the use of military force to end the suffering in Darfur.

"I would use American force now," Biden said at a hearing before his committee. "I think it's not only time not to take force off the table. I think it's time to put force on the table and use it."

In advocating use of military force, Biden said senior U.S. military officials in Europe told him that 2,500 U.S. troops could "radically change the situation on the ground now."
