It's suppose to be between a republic and a democracy.
Why cant we go to the Capital (if we're not crazy people) and express our views personally. I know theres too many people in America to do that, but knowing americans and how lazy we are, not that many people would take their time to express themselves.

Because too many people are lazy. They are more than willing to let the government take responsibility for educating their children, feeding, clothing and housing them when they are fully capable of working. In return they must vote for the same politician who tells them that the other guy is going to take it all away. They are not smart enough to stock up on 3 days of water when a hurricane is bearing down on them, then steal everything in sight. They want the politicians to pass laws against anything that annoys them, silencing anyone who may hurt their feelings, suing those who do. It has been a carefully executed plan that has been 40 years in the making. They have turned a huge portion of the population into being entirely dependent upon the government. Every election the politicians cry "You'll be eating dog food" if the other party wins. The people have put themselves under the power of the government and when the government fails, as it is apt to do from time to time, they will sit in their own filth and whine.

Because they have transformed the view of Washington
They use the Federal system to instill fear and to control through intimidation - they have infected the States and force people to see them as Gods. They are surrounded by so many lawyers no one can get close enough to shut the Globalist mafia down.
When your vote is nothing more than a 4-8 year circus act - you know that America is truly dead!
They stopped listening to the citizens years ago - but they still start wars in our names and then say they are working for the good of the American people.
I sure wish they would tell me who these so-called American people are that they are working for - so I could find them and get them to shut the hell up!

Because the American people got lazy- & quit checking on the politicians- funny thing is now they want to pass more laws that give us less say in our own Government. The People did it to themselves--

Dr. Ravi Zacharias costs: "that's a senseless philosophy that assumes that one's deepest ideals have no longer something to do with public workplace. Does it make experience to entrust people who're immoral in deepest with the potential to verify the rustic's ethical subject concerns and, certainly, its destiny .... The duplicitous soul of a pacesetter can in basic terms make a rustic extra state-of-the-artwork in evil."

These politicians only listen to who is padding their pockets. So unless you have a lot of money to BRIBE/ PAY THEM, then they will not listen to you.
They say write your congress person. This Is a CROCK since they will only send you back a stupid form letter.
If you e mail them, expect no response from them at all.
Many of them BUY VOTES like BUSH. Every one voted for him because of his lie that he would give us so called tax breaks.
But single people never got any of his so called tax breaks. They only went to those with children or who are married.
This also proves that politicians breed hate & discrimination against certain segment of society.

Politicians have as much control as the public allows them to have. As long as the ignorant masses continue to believe in the lies and spin of opportunists and pundits, the current machine we have now will continue to hold firm its grip on devising policy that best suits its own needs rather than that of the nation as a whole.

It's called a Republic.
You elect public servants. They make decisions for you based on your feedback. If you don't like those decisions, you don't elect them again. If you don't participate, you have no say in what control they have.

Their hiring and firing is up to us. If people keep sending the same people back election after election they become pretty powerful.
